I’m an Aussie and it’s the first I have seen of him and I’m impressed. His most potent weapons are his passing and his ability to get to the rim at will. Atm his shooting is not great but it’s getting better. His defence is serviceable with him starting to block a few shots too. He is 18 years old, the kid is legit.

zo is way more athletic he gets higher up when it comes to dunking in college and high school he is faster stronger better IQ better defender people say they both have weird forms in their jump-shots but melo is the more consistent scorer and has the scoring mentality zo is to unselfish to a fault like skip would say zo is so pass first I remember one play during the season when kuz or someone gave the ball to him and instead off running and laying it up he immediately pass it back thinking someone is behind him causing a turnover both gifted passers both got length at 6'7 and now people are saying melo is having back problems again and he is going to grow to 6'9-6'10

Lavar also played a role in that too because he could have just let his son face the penalty from UCLA and the NCAA, and gelo might have been back on the court by the following season once his suspension was over. But nope. Instead lavar made excuses for him and pulled both his sons out of their perspective schools while also shooting any shot gelo had in making the NBA. Not saying gelo doesn't deserve the bulk of the blame for not making it as he does but lavar certainly didn't help either and I think he knows that which is why he's not trying to say too much to derail lamelos chances right now.
