Skip the Lines at the Airport! | TSA PreCheck or Global Entry

Global Entry is great - been using it since 2009. On all three of my GE renewals, I haven't had to do another interview, so the renewals have been painless. The one thing to keep in mind is both TSA Pre and GE cover your minor children for TSA security and US Customs, but once they hit age 18, they need their own or they will be on the regular lines.

A couple of notes. I had one friend get GE in Jacksonville at the cruise ship port. Coming back from Montreal last year, we went through GE in the Montreal airport so we didn't have to do it in Atlanta. Last thought, getting the GE interview can be quite a wait--do it now (you'll get TSA pre guaranteed), even if you don't have current plans to travel internationally.

A lot of credit cards offer credits for Global entry and TSA Pre-check. My wife and I basically paid $100 for five years of global entry.

I have had TSA PC and recently got GE also. I was just notified my TSA PC needs renewal-do I need to do this? Also, do I need to change KTN on all airlines I fly?

Not if you have GE now. That counts as both. Yes I believe GE has different number

Global Entry was a lifesaver when we entered the US in houston and had to catch a connecting flight

I have TSA PC and I love it. But, I haven't been able to coordinate my arrival times back home with Global Entry interview hours. Hopefully one if these days I'll be able to get them synced.

You could try. It took about 3 days for my son’s application to get approved and they did have plenty of appointments available around the time we land. Ty for the support!!

Mobile passport control is a free app that l use. I travel internationally four times a year and there is never a line, no need to show passport, the agent scans your eyes and your done.

Yes!!!! I’ve heard sometimes it’s down or they adding accept it if too many people use it!!
