many people say enyak is not a SUV it's a Kombi. Despite of MG5 there seem to bo no real kombi as an EV. So maybe you could do a banabox-test with a real Kombi like Passat, Oktavia, Modeo for reference?

Thanks Bjørn. Could you do banana box testing of some common fossil cars? Golf / Passat / Octavia etc? That would give people transitioning from fossile cars something to compare against.

Aluminium cost 3.5 times more then steel and tooling ist also more costly. The recycling must be also take more care otherwise you get lower quality aluminium or you have to add new aluminium to it.

Would have predicted it would have taken a couple more than my ID.4. If this test was done in the eighties you would have been using cigarettes packs, and especially used the hidden spaces :) That would have been perfect for the German bordershops and border :)

If it is particularly bad it is easy to get 18" or 19" wheels and tyres instead. 235/60R18 tyres and 8Jx18 ET45 rims as well as 235/55R19 wheels and 8Jx19 ET45 rims should be fine. You would get additional efficiency as well.

I think it's more interesting to know the max weight you can load into the car. Some EVs can't even carry 4 slightly overweight adults without breaking the max allowed weight of the car :)

nah it will not... the Model Y is an inflated Model 3, the shape it is much less boxy, so less room for boxies..makes sense right.

@@tzarcoal1018 It has a flat floor when the seats are folded and a panorama roof without a beam. I would not bet on that. It can't beat Model X 5 Seater, but ID.4 is on the menu with a little luck. Berlin Y has nothing to do with the US Y or Model 3, it has a structural battery pack with 4680, who knows what that does to the interior space. That war is not lost yet. In fact, I bet on a draw. (with the box in the frunk)

@@kasmopaya2676 if Tesla is not stupid the dimensions of the US and the DE Model Y are the same, would drive the cost much higher to have to entirely different cars. And we know what shape the model Y has, the "inflated model 3" was just a little joke, but the model y has a "teardrop" shape, which brings in a low cw-value, so good efiency, but less room inside. The 4680s have nothing to do with that, i don't think the floor would be any lower, or the seating position. People buy cross overs because of that higher position.

The metal Audi thingy is a tow hook, somewhere in the front bumper is a round/square cover which you pop open and screw this tow hook in. Then you can tow a car without worring about damaging anything
