Hi, what are all the components required for the software and cables to reset the clutches etc....i really want to DIY but I haven't got any of the stuff required to do the VCDS part. Thanks

If you get vcds all you need is lead which is Hex v2. It's what I use. Regards. 🍻

Start the engine and let it idle for few min. Connect ur diagnostic tool and set it to gearbox temperature. 👍

What exactly are you doing when you go into the Basic Settings page? I can see you type in a group number but what is happening after that?

From the beginning you check the temperature of fluid in the gearbox. Temp has to be between 35 and 45. Then you do basic settings. This means you reset the adaptations of the clutches. Simply the Gbox ECU learns where is the binding point. It also shows u the tolerances. Its good thing to do. As the clutches wear. Hope this helped. If you got any quesitons ask. @@DankosDIY what diagnostics software are you using. Would this be the same method on the skoda kodiaqs? 2.0 tdi dsg. I've seen a skoda video where they fill from the bottom through a tube when that inner plug is put back in?

@@Jamescarter420 hi, good question. Im not sure how it is on newer cars as the box might slightly differ. Best thing would be to compare the box from the top and bottom. If filters are in same place and drain plug i would go ahead and do the change. If you unsure about it search for any technical data. Software is VCDS 2020 edition. Greetings LOO. H,i in some sources i find out that 2,0 tdi dsg gearbox capacity is 7,2L. So if u filled it with 5,5L then in the box left 1,7L old oil?

Hi, im not sure how much oil goes in to them but i refilled enough so the oil did flow out at the right temperature. Could be that there is old oil in thr box. Not sure.

Hi pal. Tbh. I have never used that diagnostic equipment so cant rly say. For vcds there are measurement blocks which connect so certain part of the box and check it but for that obdeleven i dont know. Sorry.

how many liters oil taken for process ?

I had 6L but gearbox took around 5.5L if i remember right.
