Raised many armies to save his tortured and oppressed people just to see them be unsuccessful.. actually went completely poor trying to finance his personal armies..was happily married but his wife died.. tried to get married again but she went crazy.. multiple attempts on his life, which the last one actually took.

Back then pink was considered a lesser version of red and was appropriate for men, while light shades of blue were exclusively for women as it was associated with the mother mary. Being from New York, I really appreciate the dutch culture that influenced New York's history. The dutch founded New York city, naming it New Amsterdam. Also, they founded fort Orange, which is present day Albany, the capital city of New York state. The Hudson River is named after Henry Hudson, the dutch explorer who explored the area. In fact, Wall street was named by the dutch, for when the city was just a settlement, they made a wall to on the street protect themselves. I just love the dutch!

Story time: I was playing as Babylon, and I had Korea as my teammate (me and Sejong were team 1), other two civs were Greece and Netherlands, they weren't on the same team, they were both really expansive, after some time, William (Netherlands) asked me if I want to declare war against greece, I wasn't much help for him but he took entire greece in about 40 turns, and to make things worse, he was slowly reaching the same literacy % as me (I was trying a science victory), but when year 2050 happened, the game ended, and I won Time Victory. Also, I had only ONE city (named Babylon), on purpose, I wanted to win only with 1 city to get one achievement.

First, they just seized Spanish en Portuguese colonies, but later the Dutch would found own colonies, like in Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Manhattan.
