FYI: The playing samples were done via my Marshall Studio Vintage head into my Marshall 4x12 cabinet loaded with Celesstion 65 speakers and It was mic'd up with a Fathead ribbon mic going into my Focusrite Scarlett Daw.

One of my favorite pastimes is upgrading mid to low end guitars. Sometimes I too, end up with a guitar that the parts cost more than the guitar. But, it is fun and the guitar turns out better and with it’s own “personality”

Nice upgrades! I installed a Dimarzio Rails(Fast Tracker 2) to my Harley Benton ST-62 on the bridge, and Tusq nut, and got the frets leveled, now I like it.... No upgrades to bridge and tuners yet... Because I don't need, in my home use..... No gigging at all.....

I like these simple Kramers and guitars like them. Great mod platforms. I would just change the pickup to a Duncan or DiMarzio.

I'd use the same strings even after removing them from the guitar :P. It's just me :D :D, and being more budget...... They'd turn out good actually.

I would also put a Floyd Rose tremolo and locking nut.

I didn’t want to have to route the trek cavity and risk ruining the paint finish. Vegatrem was a much simpler alternative.

If that Vega trem doesn't improve it nothing will. Great trems but grossly overpriced. A Wilkinson trem would have been a better choice price wise. I prefer Gotoh ones if you want a floating trem at a sensible price.

Yes, or maybe making it DIY and turn it to FR like EVH, I don't know how the finish would react to it though :D.

@@mylogify The finish would be ruined, EVH didn't see to bothered about the cosmetics of his attempts to modify them. You would need to use a router, then refinish the body or it would stick out like a sore thumb.

@@Barbarapape I don't know what kind of finish his guitar had when he did that, he bought the body as a separate part If I am not mistaken, and I don't know whether it was poly or Nitro, or just satin poly..... If it'd make differences..... Might not work these glossy Fender, Kramer poly finishes, maybe...
