Whoops, completely forgot to include her grab and throws. I had it in the script but didn't make it into the editing process for some reason. Rather than re-upload the video, here's a brief overview of what I wrote down. Grab: Average enough, bit slow on the ending but fairly reliable. Dash Grab: Surprisingly good range, also reliable. Pummel: A fast bitch slap. One of the few pummels in the game that hits twice with one hit. Good for racking up damage. Down and Up Throw: Combo throws Back throw: Stage control Forward throw: Kill throw, good for setting up edge-guards Feel free to add onto this if you like. Thanks guys!

I must say this is one of best if not the better smash video guides i've seen. They're short (most guides I've witnessed last too long) and concise (most guides I've seen do it on the spot) If you plan on continuing this, I suggest to list off the character stats like overall attack range, movement speed, jump, height and weight at the beginning when you mention the character description in numbers or a bar. There are some attacks that start off fast and some attacks that start up instantly (frame 1 or close to that) not much of a difference at first but is important. Put in special notes in certain attacks in the top left hand corner like Palutena side smash has a windbox and cloud has a meat cleaver for a sword, etc. I can't believe the final smashes so far are glossed over like this. Like bayonetta's final smash can only work when you damage an opponent enough and How ryu's shinku hadouken on its own isn't impressive unless you're finishing off an opponent. And list overall l pros and cons in text form when you give out the closing comments about said character. Thanks for providing the guides theskuxxedone.

Down throw and forward throw are her kill throws, depending on stage position. Dthrow can lead into dTilt at lower percents. Uthrow can lead into an upB, uTilt, or uAir. Bthrow is kinda useless in that it has medium knockback and should only be used to throw off the stage. Her grab range is the standard minimum and has little lag. Her pummel is two hits per pummel, however, and deals significant damage.

+Luka Puka you can shield from being down thrown and you can air dodge from being up thrown so no follow ups just mixs ups

actually quick tip, if you use bayonetta's witch time over and over. it takes about 10-20 seconds for it to gain maybe half a second back or the full witch time. So you do get it more than 2-3 times a stock its just depends if you can survive longer than that 10 second mark

Darcy Auguste Wicked Weaves are a type of attack that can be executed by powerful Umbra Witches to summon forth Infernal Demons by using their hair as a conduit. Bayonetta's Wicked Weaves usually summon the massive limbs of Madama Butterfly, the demoness she has made a pact with, while Jeene's Wicked Weaves usually summon the limbs of Madama Styx to aid her. Bayonettas bullets from attacks actually activate counters and act like physical hits, so it can also activate a witch time counter from across the stage!

quick thing on bullet arts. hitting with the bullet art stales the move, so you can unstale your moves with smart bullet art usage

Heres some small input from a Bayo main: Like Skuxxed said, her combos are VERY susceptible to DI now, so try to focus more on shorter combos like Witch Twist, Afterburner, Up/bair. Also, try chaining more aerials together with things like down tilt, up air, back air.

I would also like to add a useful tip that's helped me many times on for glory and such; it seems specifically only her held d-tilt bullet arts, goes through Ness' energy absorber, Fox's/Falco's reflector, paulentena's reflect, Marios cape, and basically any reflective move, even ness's bat, also Rosa & Luma's down B. Haven't really tested it with counters but will be doing that soon come to think of it

I used to be a Dark Pit main, but recently I tried out Bayonetta. Well, her gameplay is super smooth. She feels fast, does fast, etc. The only problem is that what she does is delayed due to her speed.

A really nice combo at mid-percents on heavies and mid-weights is: Heel Slide (bullet arts), up tilt, up air, dj up air, Witch Twist, ABK, ABK, up air. It's really easy to perform if your opponent has poor DI and/or their character just has a giant hurtbox. It might be hard to get the Heel Slide, though, because it is very punishable.

Luka Puka Yea that's good but I agree with the heel slide part. It's very slow and I get grabbed a lot out of it (I'm a bayo main). One good way to approach is to use d tilt, u tilt, or properly space an extended nair then bait a grab. But as bayonetta, mainly in neutral u plan should be a bit more defensive. Not too much tho bc then u will never get the chance to attack, making her combo game irrelevant.

Fun fact: Once you use Bayo's Witch Time for more than 3 times, it takes about 20 seconds for Witch Time to go back to lasting longer!

I don't know if anybody has found this yet, but around 90%, an auto-canceled short-hop fast-fall up air *true combos* into a forward smash at around 90% on certain characters. At least the stat counter in Training Mode says so...

You forgot Bayonetta's triple jump tech. If you press up b, jump, and then 1 frame after the jump press up b, you'll be able to cancel the jump, letting you jump again

You missed something when bayonetta uses more moves in the air she has more lag when landing but you can use witch time to reduce the lag

I hate to be that guy, but Bayonetta's down smash isn't the only smash attack that spikes. Link's down smash actually has a weak meteor on the second hit. Great video, though; Bayonetta is so much more than just 0-Death combos as people think.

Clearly Bayonetta was added to the game so that people who have no skill can sometimes stand a chance against the skilled players. I usually fight according to my opponents skill and just try to have fun but when someone is Bayonetta I go all in. Its good practice against real fights.
