I’m from north Lanarkshire & it’s been gale force winds non stop all day & night . The wind finally died down only to be followed by heavy snow . Could be worse, we didn’t lose power , so thankfull for that. Surprised to see Crows flying about, they’re hardy wee things for sure . The noise from the wind was scary when I opened my front door I actually felt like the wind was trying to suck me out lol . What a day .
@JohnBanana935Күн бұрын
North Lanarkshire as well mate. I’m actually doing a nightshift right now just me and one other boy at a power plant. It’s been shutting down all night but we’ve been on top of it cos this place powers 50,000 homes. Can’t wait till the shift swap tho😅 I walked out my house last night to my neighbours window laying on my drive lol.

I think we had a Cat 2 in Tranent. Lights were flickering but no power cut here. I haven't had a look in daylight but I think we got away with just the felt on our shed being ripped off. A lot of fences are down.
@Daz19Күн бұрын
This storm isn’t a hurricane because hurricanes form in the tropics, over warm water, and have a totally different structure. People often think (as did I) a storm becomes a hurricane just because it has super-strong winds, but that's not true. It’s more about where it forms and how it forms, not just how fast the wind is blowing. This one formed in the mid-latitudes over cooler waters, so it’s an extratropical cyclone, not a hurricane.

No its not

Surely with all the robots /AI around now , it could be used to measure wind force strenth rather than risking human life and limb . I'm sure that it could be possible. It currently appears to be everywhere else . On a lighter note ,when I first saw that man struggling on the cliff top ,before tapping on the video and finding out what he was actually doing , I actually thought it was some idiot trying to put up an umbrella in a gale force wind 😂 as I'd no idea that was how wind force is measured .

Many who are affected by horrors by disasters or wars have done so and are devout Christians and they understand that at present it is Satan causing all the misery and terror on earth but they trust in God's promise to end it all forever at Armageddon and wipe out all traces of wickedness . While these disasters and wars are absolutely horrendous , none of us will suffer as much as Jesus willingly endured for our sakes in the long run ... after Armageddon. If he could endure all that he did for my sake , I am prepared to endure in the name of Christ my Saviour whatever Satan throws at me because my focus is on preaching the Gospel about the promised new Kingdom of God and resurrection into it at the appointed time.
