Definitely something to the idea of entering a zone where time slows down and you can almost read the mind of your opponent. I've played tennis for 20 years, not to international standard, but national standard in the UK, and I can attest to the fact that on some days you just feel invincible. I remember playing with my father in the UK Father/Son Finals in 2015, playing on carpet at a David Lloyd center in Birmingham. That whole weekend I said hardly a word, but mentally I was super switched on, in full control. Every practice felt easy, I felt like I had an extra second or two of time to make a decision of where I want to hit the ball and which kind of shot it would be, when I was at the net it felt like I knew where my opponents would hit the ball no matter how fast they hit it, I was placing my serve so well that I could hit a 5 pence piece anywhere in the service box. It's only happened a handful of times, but I remember each one. You feel like Neo in the Matrix for a day. It is an amazing feeling.
