I drove one for 27 years and loved every minute of it. The most fun was scaring my Capt.'s when they thought I couldn't pull the rig through a spot. To this day, when I get into a tight spot, I tell my wife, " I can put a fire truck through there ".To all of my Brothers out there driving, be safe and have fun.

Not a fan of the electronic sirens, prefer the traditional sounds. I do like the red and yellow chevrons, they make it really easy to spot a fire truck day or night in any weather.

Unfortunately it happens in most cities. It’s about economics. ISO could care less. They are passing out Class 1 ratings like they hand out bottles of water after a hurricane. Everyone can get one.
