This was a quick weekend project done as part of a Facebook group (Woodworking UK) challenge. All the materials used here are scrapwood/leftovers from my previous projects. The design is based on your acoustic skyline diffusor. Hope you enjoy the quick build. Thanks.

Without that superglue accelerator that would have driven me mad! (if I was making it). I do enjoy a scrapwood project :)

Rob, haha.. indeed, I only lit it for the video. Was planning on using battery operated LED ones. Way safer, especially with kids and the finish on it. 😆

That ca glue accelerator is awesome stuff! Great looking candle holder Suj 👍

Thanks Grant 😊 👍. It was painful sanding 6 sides of each of those 70 odd offcut pieces, but sticking them on the MDF backing was even more painful. The ca glue really helped, but it still took over an hour to just do that. Without that, it would have been even way longer.

I like the design, very good, I would have set the candles further in as they look quite easy to knock off the supports.

Nicely done, I think I burnt all my 2x4 cut offs in the fireplace a few months back, I could have done a nice feature wall in the backyard now that I see this!

Gotta be honest bud, I'm glad you already have kids cause a 2/4" to the nuts is gonna hurt, as they say dont put your hand where you wouldnt put your cock - you were full on tea-bagging that saw hahaha Hope youre well mate, hope youre having a lovely weekend! PS I've always wondered how peeps make these and not have a tone of nightmare squeeze out to clean up, now I know. I need that T-square in my life, not a pot to piss in though :-/
@SujMenon
@SujMenon 3 жыл бұрын
haha Ben. yes, that was a really stressful job on the table saw. I had to be sure I was away from the blade at all times, as any time they could have gone as a projectile 😅. Luckily none of those 80 odd pieces became a flying missile. Those T-squares are from Banggood, but looks like those expensive woodpeckers one. Really well made. But knowing your tool history for precision, you would buy the woodpecker ones only. Haha 😀
