I have a feeling that the clan that forged Volendrung and Spellbreaker gave those artifacts in either a deal or an offering, as I don't see Malacath stealing, and Peryite is also known as the Taskmaster, meaning he could have tasked them with making the shield for him to begin with.

Okay, I know this is probably wrong, but hear me out on this... Possibly, Malacath and Perryite (sorry if I butchered the names, it's been a minute) were both the Dwemer owners of those weapons, and when the dwarves vanished, they were all taken to oblivion? As a result, oblivion began to change them, or they both managed to somehow take their own land and daedric forms? I highly doubt this is a thing, but within Oblivion the shivering isles DLC, Sheogorath makes you a daedric Prince (by his definition, anyway), so maybe something similar happened with the Dwarves? Again, long shot, and probably wrong, but eh, it's fun to make theories

@alexbenavidez45005 жыл бұрын
I suspect the word wall has something to do with the dragon you encounter in the Soul Cairn. I forgot his name, I think it's Durnevheir which I'm definitely spelling wrong Remember he willingly traveled to the soul cairn in order to deal with the ideal masters and improve upon his necromancy, and he did this thousands of years prior when dragons still roamed the land Getting into the Soul cairn requires a portal and even an offering of some part of the caster for it to activate, such as with Valerica's portal which needed her blood If this is Durnevhiers word wall, as dragons do seem to be bound to them, if not just for a place to roost, then it could have a component of how he traveled to the soul cairn Valerica's portal is clearly not the only way to reach the dimension of the ideal masters, and the delicate practise of alchemy doesn't look like something a dragon can really master The word walls are inscribed with shouts along with epitaphs, and they do hold a power within the words scrawled into the rock That could likely be the way in which he opened a portal to the soul cairn, perhaps by making the word wall a portal itself And because he's trapped there and had been for thousands of years, the portal has long since closed and is now derelict and half-buried into the desolate lands It's just another piece of the dead, wasteland of the dimension

Regarding the word wall, my theory has always been that each word wall has either a dragon, or dragon priest attached, right? Well, there is the ghostly dragon in the Cairn. I always suspected that the dragon's Wall, being a memorial or tomb, had an unbreakable connection to said dragon. When the dragon was brought there, it's wall went with it. Removed from Nirn, the magic inherent there was stripped away. Any powers it had in "life" were lost, and it became forgotten and ruined, a relic of a lost dragon. Any word it might have once carried was likely torn away, as the dragon itself likely destroyed the wall. Seen as a mocking reminder of the life and power the dragon had lost to the thief with the soul stone, it likely burned and clawed at the wall in rage, until nothing was left but the blank ruin.

The Word Wall was likely brought to the Soul Cairn when Durnehviir first sought an audience with the Ideal Masters. Theory about the Wooden Mask: what if it’s actually an artifact of Akatosh, and its ability is to harness the power of a dragonbreak within a specific space, likely chosen by Akatosh himself. Akatosh believes that if he hides the Konahriik mask in a dangerous place, maybe a powerful hero of Tamriel would find it one day and use its powers for good. for mor information about dragonbreaks, there are a few videos on the subject (although i personally recommend fudgemuppet’s video on them)

Meh, DnD is kind of overrated. I respect it as an Rpg, one of the biggest ones and oldest surely. I just don't dig it much. My ex bf probably has a lot to do with that to be fair. He had DnD nights, promised to let me tag along, ditched me and went without me every single time. I kind of resented it after a while, who knows...I might try it again one day.

Maybe the Mysterious Imperial was actually the first victim of the necromancer in Meridias temple. Maybe in the first drafts of Skyrim, he held Meridias beacon that began the quest in the first place, rather than in being in some randomly spawned chest in the game (but this ultimately changed in the final version of the game by the developers for some reason).

Pertaining to Nettlebane, I think that the dagger itself is made from a plant, but shaped and sharpened into a blade. And I think it was made back when the Eldergleam came to be, making it as old and the only other thing that could harm the Eldergleam. And since it is a mix of these things, it's the perfect weapon to use against Spriggans.

The lore from Morrowind onward is absolutely insane, you could probably spend your entire life looking into it and still not know everything about the games. Like, the lore answers questions no one would ever even think to ask, like, they even give the information as to why it’s a video game with the whole Dreamer nonsense. It’s off the walls insane and I love it.

I seem to recall that the Argonians worship something called Hist-trees, which allegedly have strange abilities. Could the Eldergleam be one of them? Anyone who knows more about this?
@jamiestewart485 жыл бұрын
I'm quite sure that the Gildergreen/Eldergleam quest was written in reminiscence of Tolkien; how Aragorn finds the last sapling of the white tree and plants it in the Citadel for the old, withered tree.

The main problem with this theorytheory is that Followers of KyneKyne revere the Gilder/Eldergleam, as Kyne created them. Kyne did not create the Hist however so...

It isn’t easy getting him there since he’s unarmed, unarmored, and weak as hell. He can even be killed by lowest tier enemies like skeevers or wolves, so I prefer to go there before I go back to Whiterun to get the quest to go to the cave so I can fast travel him there. I don’t like fast traveling, but it’s the few cases I’m willing to do it.

Food for thought : The eldergreen is a cousin from the hist trees of Black Marsh. The Soul Cairn was teleported from Nirn, not built as it is. (Also, objects can come through as we see with Jiub's opus). And Word Walls appeared in Solstheim too. Maybe Duurnevir had this one built for him by skeleton minions.

If you have the Konahrik's accoutrements mod you could also get a clay mask at an ancient ruin where you can get a clay mask that works like the Elder Scroll from the main quest when you find little time distortion things. It's a cool mod and it only takes like 30 minute to finish

With the third mystery, it looks like the skeever and the Imperial guard are near a manhole. Could it be that the imperial was holding a torch too near the sewer entrance and got torched by a pocket of methane that happened out of the sewer? Alternately, it could've been a murder done by the Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood with the skeever left as a means of coverup.

The mysterious imperial could be a reference to the black plague, seeing as how it was transferred from rat to human. It's very possible that they used the skeever which is the closest thing to a rat in skyrim, as the carrier.

My thoughts on the skeever and body in Solitude is that Malkoran originated from Solitude and that dude was the first unwilling participant. The skeever just got attracted to the evil and got killed for it's troubles. Of course the shade was immediately killed because it's in the middle of a city and Malkoran proceeded to desecrate Meridias temple

The real mystery is why Neloth isn't missing Mehrunes' Razor! He should have said something about owning it ones when the Player is holding it in front of him... perhaps with a salty remark about others attempting to steal from his collection all the time. xD He in general should have had more dialogue hinting at his time as councilor I think. Otherwise, I assume he isn't into chitchatting and stuff like that. After all, he is far too busy for even just thinking about the Raven Rock list!

Pretty sure you can store stuff in the urns at the past version of that mask sanctuary. I have a theory that the Dragonborn is teleported to the same point in time there (after you retrieve the mask, of course). My theory goes on to suggest that the wooden mask was constructed just as the Dragon dominion was collapsing, as a method to usher in a leader all the revived priests would follow; the concept behind the mask during its time is similar to the High King and his position among the Jarls.
