It is, but there is also a main quest which you do by yourself in which molag bal is attempting to combine the worlds of mundus and cold harbor using dark anchors. The beginning of the game starts with molag bal taking your soul the quest is to get your soul back and thwart his plans of combining the 2 realms.

That's a bit technical: Vivec already had a spear named Muatra. Then, according to some records, during a Dragon Break (a time singularity when some really heavy magic is undergo), he wrote the 36 Lessons to create another version of him having access to godhood since birth, which undergo the Lessons. At the end of the Break, that fantasmated Vivec would have "been here" before, that's the idea. That's that "born divine" Vivec that was married to Molag Bal and cut clean his penis to make a spear, that one again named Muatra. Buuut due to how dragon breaks are explained in Rhexx videos, it would not be impossible that both Muatra fused in one after the Break. But well, for what we know Vivec has a spear, claims it is the dong of a daedra but it doesnt really looks like it. And remember a daedra can regenerate, so I think a few decades after he had it back :p

I am going to create a mod for Skyrim, where upon becoming the Dragonborn, killing Alduin, killing Mirrak, killing Harkon and his group, and reaching level 85, you will recieve a note from a courier, telling you to come to the Temple of the Divines in Solitude, upon doing so, that priest guy whose name I can't remember will tell you that the Divines wish to speak with you. You walk into the room where the eight shrines, a bright light will encompass you as your soul is being brought into Aetherius. There you will see the nine, that's right NINE, that's including the mighty Talos of Atmora, Divines will be standing in front of you in their "mortal" forms. Akatosh will express how proud he is of all that you have accomplished with his gift and how dissapointed he was in Mirrak. After being able to the Divines a few questions about various bits of lore and whatnot (Optional) they will tell you why they have summoned you. They want you to kill the Daedric Princes. They will each explain they're reasons, and they will give you the Godslayer. A legendary sword imbued with the power of each of the Divines it is the most powerful weapon that has ever or will ever be created. However, due to it's power and being imbued with power of gods, it does not "exist" in the mortal plane. It will pass right through mortals as if they're not even there. Mortals also cannot see the weapon as it both exists and does not exist. They will think you might be wielding a weapon, but they aren't sure since mind cannot comprehend the strong divine presence you give off due to the weapons power. They will also give other "small" artifacts after each mission you complete, they will unique and about 25% better that Daedric artifacts. Your first target will be Petryite (I don't think I spelled that right.) the Daedric prince of pestilence. You will have to traverse his plain of Oblivion, I don't know it's name yet, and kill him using the Godslayer, no other weapon will work. Each princes mission will be like this, go to Oblivion and slay them. You will to choose whether or not to kill the "good" Daedra, i.e Meridia, Azura etc. You will end with killing Molag-bal and Mehrunes Dagon together as they will truly fear you by this point. You will be attacked by thier follwers in the mortal world before and after they've been killed. I will try to style the fights somewhat after the fight with Molag-bal in ESO. With each princes dying with a semi-long "cinematic" killmove. Once they are dead, they're power and influence will be destroyed. Such as no more werewolves or vampires each will return to their mortal form. Not certain on this aspect though, i'll have how it affects the game, and if the game will even allow it. New armor set called "Bane of Oblivion armor." My hopes for this massive quest mod are: Voice acting, custom meshes and textures for weapons and armor, comparability with as many other mods as possible, The Divines commenting on your race if you are using various custom race mods such as the Wolf race mod. Don't recall it's goofy name. Or the Dagni-raght mod. The Daedra commenting on you using thier artifacts to kill lesser Daedra in their realm and thier respective artifacts from other mods like Boethia's Goldbrand and Fearstruck. But at this point, all I have is a dream. But i've people doing great things with just that. So who knows.

The whole Molag Bal thing is the main storyline while the three factions is the second and then the 4 faction storylines Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, Mages Guild and Fighters Guild. Theres multiple storylines in every Elder Scrolls Game such as Skyrim, Oblivion and Morrowind etc..
