Really enjoy the little moments where Mike and Anne just fall into roleplay for a bit, like with talking about Mike's ancestry and Anne dropping TES lore. 😌 Their little backs and forths and reactions to followers really make watching this playthrough just as worth it as Mike and Zach's, since they both have very distinctive playstyles and interactions.

While I've never been one for Creation Club stuff, Saints and Seducers is fantastic, the mod author really recreated all that gear super lovingly, even to the point of actually shaping the Sheogorath-shaped amber :) Also, using Wigglytuff's gen1 sprite to depict how it looks, Mike you did it really dirty xD Imagine telling Zach that a blunderbuss is an accurate depiction of a Benelli ;P

That Hendraheim house mod looks really nice and the story to acquire it, while a bit macabre, does make sense for a nord who follows the old ways. Anne and Mike singing for parts of the video was a nice treat. :) The implications that an altmer parent just teleports their kids to the dinner table when it's time to eat is both funny and slightly disturbing, though once again i have to give props to the writer and VA for Taliesin for their creativity and great delivery. On one hand I do like the 'band of misfits' feel you get with that many companions, but on the other hand it does make fights a bit tricky because you end up hitting your allies a lot of the time. :D Also, Erandur is a pretty old mer (as I recall). You're lucky he didn't have to stop and take breaks on the way up to the tower. :P

Bretons are actually a result of several dozen generations of half elf / half human breeding. One elf-human child does not make a Breton, unless the human is the mother and also a Breton. Also, Bretons have High Elf or Snow Elf blood in them. Not any other type of elf.

The Aldmer being the first Elven race (except the Ehlnofey if you count them). Though it would seem the Direnni Clan High Elves of the Iliac Bay are also responsible for creating Bretons according to Breton culture. Breton is actually seemingly an umbrella term for all elf-human hybrids. Though this isn't quite correct. Breton is actually supposed to mean just the hybrid peoples of High Rock. Though their name is derived from "beratu" which is Ehlnofey for "half." This is why I thought the Snow Elves were involved in making the Bretons, because they did create a hybrid race that early Nord explorers in Tamriel called "man-elves "who were humans who had elf ears. Some Bretons have elf ears too. Possibly from mingling with these "man-elves," vestigial elven features popping up, or both. The Reachmen of Skyrim are also a man-mer hybrid race. Some of them consider Bretons to be their genetic cousins. It's possible the Reachmen are Aldmer and/or Direnni Altmer in origin too. Maybe even Snow Elven. Hell, I'd say Dwemer and Ayleids aren't out of the question, though it is unlikely.

@@hrodga They're sort of meant to be like the generic medieval French. At least that's what they kind of were in Arena and Daggerfall. If you look at the painting for "The War of Betony" it looks like medieval art of knights in a battle. Come Michael Kirkbride being the writer for Elder Scrolls, everything got fleshed out a lot more. From this I think is were we learned their ancestors, the Nedes of what is now High Rock, are call the Druids of Galen. And it would seem druids and druidic magic originated in High Rock. Though Bretons nowadays seem to mostly be more feudal and "civilized."

I’m pretty sure it’s established in the lore that most children of mixed heritage are more or less indistinguishable from the mothers race, with people bearing obvious similarities with both like the Bretons being an exception and the result of centuries or millennia of elves taking advantage of their social status (they at the time were the ruling class of high rock) to have human harems and to do unseemly things to human women (mostly) without having to worry about consequences, it was basically an evil yet accidental breeding program that made the would be Bretons like 1 percent more elven every generation

Conjuration is specifically summoning things from Oblivion. The move something within Mundus to you, that would be alteration, not conjuration. No one seems to get this.

there was a saint and seducers expanded mod that I quite enjoyed. That expanded Saints and seducers into a full story. though it requires a full fresh save file. other than that, I really love watching you and anne play skyrim

Anne is the ying to milkes yang. Zach is the extremely well maintained gun to Mike's bullet in a calibur he can't remember as there's too many. Zach got married and he is a self proclaimed weird guy. Mike has a adorable GF and he is Mike. There is hope for me yet lol. No seriously Anne is a fantastic edition to the channel. Unlike Zach she knows a lot of lore whilst having game sense. Plus she's just hilarious and plays off Mike's jokes. Seriously Anne it's a pleasure to watch you and mike play skyrim as its just downright wholesome. One of the last snow elves on mur who's in love and travelling with a nord horse theif... Their ancestors histories intertwined with genocide, war and betrayal. Long story very very short. The nords came to skyrim from their home continent as it was becoming far to cold for it to be habitable and settled in their new capital, they discovered a artifact when mining called the eye of magnus. The snow elves, didn't think the nords were responsible enough for it and asked nicely for this artifact... JK the snow elves commuted genocide and killed all the nords bar three at night and they escaped back to their home continent. That was the legendary warrior Ysgramor and his two sons. They then came back with 500 companions and slaughtered the snow elves so badly they fled to the dwemmer for sanctuary. The dwemmer took advantage feeding them a poisonous fungus and turned them blind. So yeah. Mike and Anne's character relationship is quite wholesome on another level.

aren't bretons specifically descended from high elves? nede + direnni = breton. people in the elder scrolls universe also take more after the traits of their mother rather than the father. mike appearing as a nord makes sense if his mother was a nord and his father an elf.

A Breton in the real world is a reference to a language spoken in Brittany, part of modern day France. In this context, while I was off at certain points, Bretons are a group of people who are part Mer and part Man, leaning heavily towards man due to certain circumstances in Elder Scrolls lore.
