It all depends on what you're going to use most...it's not exactly the "best" if you're not into Enchanting on that character. Odds are good that you'll be fine with using the gems you loot along the way, especially if you pop into the caravan chests from time to time...even if you don't, you'll likely not need the black soul gems you can grab as loot normally, so you can flog those and buy lower versions if needed to top up your gear.

If you go to Glenmoril Cavern early enough in the game in all the spots where you would normally find a Hagraven there are human female witches that haven't transformed into Hagravens yet. Which is pretty wild because it is implied at points throughout the game that all of the Hagravens were once humans that have been transformed in foul rituals.

The quest is probably known as skyrims most broken quest. With several bugs at several different parts that can break it entirely. Even on PC with the unofficial patch its still temperamental...if you're on console...good luck :(

The most interesting enemy in Skyrim is Potema the Wolf Queen. How many other enemies have multiple volumes of books written about their backstory? But if you mean insane crazy, then definitely the mind of Pelagius. Yes, I consider that whole level your opponent. Because that level is one big battle of the mind. Lycanthropy is nothing but a blessing. You can travel across Skryim quickly without fast travel (even faster than a horse), wolves treat you as allies, mauling people and roaring at things (no matter what roar effect you're using) is pure cathartic fun, the Restless effect keeps you from leveling up too fast, transformation is a good ace up your sleeve against early level enemies (such as the Throat of the World troll), and you become immune to all those annoying diseases. The only downside? Weakness to silver, which nobody but one faction enemy uses, whom are easy to kill anyways....

The main downside is lore related, as all werewolves are claimed by Hircine after they die. Hircine is a pretty chill dude and his realm is not horrific like those of most other Princes, but some people still want to meet their friends and relatives in Sovngarde.

Your immortal companion that goes on a killing spree in any hold after your character gets caught pickpocketing. 3. Although not technically an _"Enemy"_ the Madwoman that spawns after you complete the "Mind of Madness" Daedric Quests, and asks your character to use the Wabbajack on her. She will become hostile if the Fury effect is cast from the Wabbajack. 5. Rochelle the Red and her bandits that kidnap your spouse after the Hearthfire DLC is installed. Like.... Seriously.... I really wanted to write my experience fighting Malyn because I thought it was cool. So towards the end of the fight after I had cleared out the other enemies, I used the soul trap or soul steal spell, whatever the spell was called, on Malyn before killing him and it worked. To me at least, his soul remains alive but trapped in one of the soul gems in my possession but I don't know which one to be precise since I had a lot, but I for sure have his soul. I just think it's kind of poetic and the logic makes more sense than simply killing him

Malyn Veran didn't aquire Azura's Star after he was kicked out of the College; he had it the whole time he was experimenting with eternal life. What's interesting with the Azura's Star quest is you can find out that Nelacar's idea of making it a Black Star isn't as benevolent an act as he makes it out to be, as during the Dawnguard questline you go to the Soul Cairn where you find those trapped by Black Soul Gems stuck there for eternity. As M'aiq once said, he was trapped in a soul gem once and he didn't like it. Pretty much the one time that peaceful cat comes off as quite threatening.

I discovered last night that if you repeatedly jump and burn yourself in a forge ( training resto) it levels your destruction magic too haha. No unofficial patch. Also, you can find thief cache in barrels all over riften and markarth. Probably in other cities too once you do thieves guild but those were the 2 places I found them.

It is Glenmoril WYRD (or 'Weird') which in old norse/anglo-saxon culture was your own 'personal destiny' and woven by the Norns - female deities who wove the thread of destiny. There are equivalent figures in classical mythology too and 'witches' were said to call upon them to prophesise.

A note on the Emperor Crabs, during Oblivion there was an attempt to bring them back while Ald'ruhn was attacked. Though it is believed it didn't work, the Lore suggests it may have. So it is possible we may someday see them in Elder Scrolls again.

to add to that, im pretty sure its just the big shell in Ald'Ruhn that is from an Emperor Crab, that was killed by House Dunmer and Ashlanders working together

I actually figured the skeleton which was holding the damaged star when you find it, sitting in the "I'm in charge" throne, next to Malyn Varen's journal, was his body, and he had only put his soul in Azura's Star. Ofcourse that would just make him "dead and soultrapped" rather than "alive forever". He does mention when you first enter the star that he now survives on souls his apprentices send in, in a manner that implies he's not able to leave the star or communicate with the outside world...so, yeah, I think he's just an idiot. Sad thing to because the quest starts with a really well done double entendre of a prophecy and ends on a giant plot hole. Unless the story is supposed to be about Varen wrecking his afterlife rather than preserving his life.

The Fishing Creation from the Creation Club/Anniversary Edition adds a spectral Emperor Crab as the final boss of the Fishing Questline. It is much, much bigger than the Giant Mudcrab spirit fought as part of Kyne's Sacred Trials. (As in you have to use flaming catapults to weaken it.)

I just ran across quite the odd encounter, one that I've never ran across before, I was walking through Whiterun hold when I got pass the Western Watch Tower saw a dead Dragon near a burned cart, I then walked up to the cart to investigate what killed the Dragon because all the people there were murdered to death by the Dragon when another Dragon landed and began to attack me. This is the first time I've ever seen this.

Has anyone ever put together that the ambushing bandit squad south of Rorikstead (the one where 3 or 4 bandits attack you as you go for a chest in a wagon, in the middle of the road, going down a steep hill) all have beds and a small training area in the basement of Shoal's Rest? Nice folks, right? Till they sic their bandit posse on you.

Hi nate,i just came across a random encounter with an NPC named "Frightened Woman". She mentions that she was captured by a groups of Bandits at Mistwatch but managed to lockpick herself out of her cell. She surprisingly spawned for me on the bottom right of the map and ran towards the direction to Mistwatch rather than away from the location. I'm not sure if you mentioned this encounter in a previous episode before,but now you know about it.
