Firing Ten Hag might seem like the easy answer, but it's not that simple. As a united fan I think that a few players are purposely not giving their best to make the manager look bad. This "downing tools" tactic can mess up the team and its progress. It's worth noting that this team has done this to many world-class managers in the past. Instead of rushing to change the manager, we should figure out why the team isn't doing well and if the players are really committed. It's important to understand the real problems before making big decisions about the manager.

VAR is needed. Imagine if VAR went back to 1990 and had a look at a game with todays technology and how many mistakes it would pick up. We don't realise how much good it does today. Imagine todays games with 22 different camera angles and millions of people re-watching scenarios on youtube, instagram etc, referees would get so much hate for the amount of calls they miss. It wouldn't work. We need VAR, but it needs to get better. This is just a phase we are going through. And we can't enhance VAR without going through this friction. @peterkirk123 Жыл бұрын
That explains why Abu Dhabi City have over 100 FFP charges .
@coldstolen8666 Жыл бұрын
It's because City have built winning teams in the past 5 years so their players have high resell value. Every City player can be sold for £40m minimum. Hence why they have good netspend. They'll pay £40m odd for a player and get 4 decent to good seasons out of them, then they'll still be worth that money or more depending on how much they contribute to City compared to the rest. Difference is Man United and Arsenal will pay that money for a player, and they will flop or have below average seasons so their value will deplete. Man United paid £80m for Sancho, he's probably worth half that now. Same with Antony. Pepe and Havertz are probably worth half what Arsenal paid as well, although they overpaid for Havertz in the beginning. Teams that perform better on the pitch will have better netsepend because their players are worth more and balances out with expensive new signings. United and Arsenal's expensive new signings aren't being counterbalanced with their sales because their sales aren't high enough. Even Chelsea know how to sell their underperforming players for a good price.

@@Cosmic-Wanderer They're not being charged for current affairs. Their charges are dating from back when their takeover started to their first 5 or 6 years or so of performing well in the Prem. When Ole tookover after Mourinho he won like 8-10 games continuously if I remember correctly also making a comeback against PSG. After that everything slowly fell apart players lost motivation. So stop judging managers, players on short periods. Let's see how well spurs will be doing by the end of this season. Same with Onana, same with Ten hag. Some fans are constantly flip flopping, being reactionary. There are United fans now acting as if Mctominay is a world class player.

Ice hockey has a rule where the coach can question a offside (or anything else) right before a goal and then they have to check it, called "coaches challenge". If its no offside or anything other the team gets a minor penalty. Why not try out something like that instead of checking every time, and still get it wrong.
@TheBonesReaperShow Жыл бұрын
I think Onana has to be benched. He will cost United points, yes that was a great gutsy comeback but it won’t always be the case. Onana is very consistent with errors, not just ones that lead to goals. If you watch the games he has played there are consistent mistakes, we just remember the ones that led to goals. Just my opinion as a neutral.

Stating the obvious. Erik Ten Hag has a big problem. Ten Hag, like any Manager, has his preferred style of play. In an preseason interview with the Manchester Evening News he lays out how he wants United to play. So what's the big problem? His first and only season at United saw him and them finish 3rd, gain a CL spot for this year, make 2 cup finals and win 1 Cup Trophy......all accomplished WITHOUT his preferred style of play. Ten Hag got results by not playing his preferred style of play. After the first 2 games he knew he didn't have the players to play the way he wanted, so he adapted. jetisoned that plan and came up with a way of playing that got the best out of his team. That created a problem for him....does he continue to play in a way he does't want but got him and the team success or does he try and get them to play his style. The first Summer signing of Mount told the story of what he wanted to do....play his style. Mount came in to play a number 8 along with Fernandes and help with the press, the next move verified the direction Ten Hag was going to go. He got rid of his Golden Glove winning GK and brought in a GK who he believe would help with build up play by playing out from the back. And then he added a 20 year old 9 goal scorer with potential to help score goals. Each transfer told you what he wanted to do..........play his style. A classic case of a Manager who choses what's best for the team as oppose to what he likes. The irony is, that the only thing that counts is wins. United had 23 last year. Doubtful Ten Hag will accomplish that this year. A step back indeed. So far I would say, he made the wrong choice and that's all on him.

Honestly Robbie doesn’t have a clue he was saying about arsenal missing more important players than Newcastle were. Newcastle was missing joelinton, Wilson, Barnes, Willock, botman. Arsenal were missing martinelli and timber and timber can’t really be that much of a miss he’s played 1 competitive game (2 if you’re counting community shield as competitive) I don’t even mind the shout of arsenal going further than us in the champions league but just get it right arsenal bottled it and Newcastle stepped with more important players missing.

The Swedish League, in its steadfast commitment to the integrity of the game, has eschewed the use of the VAR system, uniting discerning fans in their opposition to this technological intrusion. We steadfastly adhere to the time-honored 50%-rule, thus preserving the purity of the sport from the corrosive influence of sportswashing. The League may be imperfect, but I have never experienced greater joy in following it, as I witness the beautiful game being systematically dismantled on the grandest of stages.
