Exactly. I remember when Jose came it was amazing at first. United was scoring goals for fun . Winning 3 or 4-0 every week. Everyone was saying that the dark moyes and Van gall days are finally over and then the players started underperforming. Mourinho became more and more frustrated. @@wavezrolls8333 I reckon Rashford fully believes this, too. However in the door has come yet another manager who will not find that acceptable. Managers are there to build teams that have the right ethos, and if Rashford or anyone else thinks they don't have a whole host of responsibilities to their teammates in many phases of play, then they prove they don't have that mentality. Either a single penny will drop for Rashford, or he will be dropped for many millions of pounds and he will face the same dilemma with another manager who's trying to build a team, or he can play at a less competitive side that will make these exceptions for a player of his level of productivity.

Go through the youth system. Do not the youth and senior squad ever scrimmage against each other? Great way to see how they play against each other, or even mixing up the two in scrimmage and really see how good this team’s potential is . I don’t pretend to be a coach, but this would give me an even clearer picture moving forward. Love to hear anyone’s thoughts, dislikes, or likes. 👍👍

I'm not sure about full 1st Team Senior vs Academy matches taking place much anymore. The phrase "To get better you must play a better opponent" comes to mind... on one hand it would be good for the academy players, but not sure it would do much other than risk injury for senior players if played regularly. When these games do happen, they happen in training sessions and I'm fairly certain the teams are mixed and feature senior players needing match fitness or those returning from injury. Not much info can be found about it, but apparently one of the first Senior vs Reserves match was a Charity match in 1962 in honor of Harry Gregg (who helped rescue his teammates in the Munich Air Disaster), proceeds from the match went to supporting Harry and his family, as well as some charities. Apparently after this, these games became much more commonplace. Tommy Docherty organized one in 1977's Pre-Season to fine tune the senior squad and check out the youth players. I think nowadays, both teams have too busy of a schedule to play games like this... for instance the U21s are playing in the Premier League 2, The EFL Trophy, The National League Cup and The Premier League International Cup this season.

Promote more academy players, sell Rashford, Shaw, Casemiro (Great Player but Man United need the money to sign players), Lindelof, Antony, Maguire, and Dalot, and sign Gyokeres, Davies or Kerkez, Quenda, and Frimpong.
