SkyTrain Announcements - Train2Main [2014]

Here is a sample of announcements heard for the Train2Main service. This was heard in coordination of the Station Upgrades at Main Street Station in 2014. With only 2-car trains serving this station for the time being, was to keep the station open while work on the station is going. Meanwhile, regular 4-car and 6-car trains skipped Main Street Station as their length would not be able to accommodate the temporary abbreviated opened platform.

Hopefully when the Broadway extension opens, the Evergreen Line will become it’s own line and the Millennium Line will return to Waterfront, being about the same length in time as Line 1 in Toronto (also a Yellow line)

I don't think it will be changed back to the way it was pre-Evergreen Extension. The logistics for that doesn't make sense anymore.

It may not make sense, but a lot of people do not like the new changes, even me. The announcements are not any better, those in this video need to return.

@@Cartonies Yes, it was actually real. This service was implemented in 2014 due to Station Upgrades at Main Street-Science World. 2-car trains would serve all stations between Commercial-Broadway and Waterfront, including Main Street Station. The long 4-car and 6-car trains would skip Main Street as they would not fit to accomodate the small open area available at the time.
