So the home I'm living at now, the boiler constantly fires up all day, many times in an hour. It sounds like at 5:28 to the 5:43 part of this video. I hear a click then this rumbling noise for a while, then it turns off. But sure enough few minutes later it happens again. Is this normal? I only ask cause the previous boiler was never noisy or caused trouble. So I'm wondering if this is normal, or is something wrong and a way to keep it quiet? I'd rather not bother the landlord if there is nothing to be done. AO Smith proline is the new long circle boiler. Sentinel gas fired boiler is the square box they previously had. I can't tell which part is making this rumble noise, sometimes I think it's the Sentinel but I can't really say. Only the AO Smith is the new part. Like I mentioned previously before the change I never heard this constant rumble noise always going off.

My sentinal had a bad solder joint on the aquastat circuit board, same issue. Dab of solder fixed it.

I have to replace my computer board on my Slant Finn boiler, can I assume the tank has to be drained first? The stem in the back goes directly into the tank?

The thermostat on the computer board does thread into the boiler that’s why I was wondering about this.
