I seen slayer around 20 times the last 20 years, including 5 times on their farewell tour. Band of my teenage angst years. But my son, now 16, never got to see them before they retired. But now that they are doing these shows I get to rectify that. This weekend I am taking my son to see slayer. And we going in the pit. I am old, but I told my son, if I die, I die. I’ll be happy.

My first time seeing them live and it was everything I hoped it would be and much more. I enjoyed the music as well hanging by a mosh pit and jumping in here and there but I never would’ve thought how tiring physically it would be to watch them like at the end everyone looked like they ran a marathon but it was awesome for being part of the experience. Was fortunate enough to be on the front lines of the wall of death.

The pit at the farewell show in Reading was pretty decent. Circle pits about the middle of the floor, close to the stage was pretty much what you see here though.
