I feel it balances out, you first have to get a trait, which is from the bad pool, so you would have to do a bunch of riskier rolls, which gives you the chance to get other really bad traits, stat downs, or other bad effects, I guess it is broken to some degree, but actually getting it is a risk in itself

Holy shit this guy synergies with Tainted cain so well. Tainted Cain could use those pickups that Zach generates and T. Cain could craft a rock bottom for Zach

Depends how Negative the Negative effects are. If you are bad at fighting, Then you don't wanna go Risky, because Enemies will spawn. Failing a positive roll means its a negative roll. So the 59% Positive means 41% Negative. Personally, I'd do maybe.. halfway up Oranges.

And if you have no chips, you just gain one as normal, so it becomes an all or nothing, though based on chances hopefully you turns payout either way, but maybe heavy hands could lower the increased payout chance

A fun idea, imo, would be certain items and trinkets influencing probabilities! Deck of cards / tarot cloth raising your chance to get a Royal flush and reducing your chance of getting grubbins, for example.

I know an idea for a fun character, a character (idc abt the name) that all the items it finds/has are blind (it doesnt know what item it is), the only thing it knows is the rarity and the quality of the item, he has more chances of getting quality 3-4 items, and has a dice he can reroll twice per room

So the character is designed at giving a gamble factor as a bonus along a vanilla gameplay If shops are bad you can still spend your money You get passive chances for rewards that aren't really gameplay changing nor do they give you real chances at snowballing Overall I think it's a bit underwhelming What do I gain to play Zach vs another ? What does he bring ? A range upgrade per floor ? The idea is cool but I think it still lacks...

I have a card game that i made and for some reason, this character reminds me of my casino man character (he has 3 cards - blessing of luck That allows him to roll the dice twice instead of once, tokens that require you to be lucky to hit either standing or flying targets, and mega gamble that is basically D4 but it also rerolls hp)

Now we need a character mod for Isaac's father. Like zach but except he has -10 luck and starts with Cheap Booze as his pocket item. It has 6 room charge and increases his damage output and luck to 7 at the cost of uneven movement and a -1 speed for few rooms He has built in money = power feature. He also stars with credit card and has standard health of 3 red hearts. Cheap booze can be used in arcade to gain decreased + 7 luck to the already 7 luck he will have from just using it. The slot machines will now have increased reward pool by an ammount Ex; Coins reward drops around 4 - 5 coins Keys drop 2 - 3 Hearts drop double hearts Bombs drops 2 more bombs with lower chances for bomb troll Pills become positive. The slot machines themselves now drop greed themed item/trinket when as addition to the normal drop

I feel a way to make him even more interesting without outright making him broken is that based on the run's luck stat he can actually get something different in the item pool he summons, with higher chances leading to Angel or Devil items. I think he lacked using the luck stat of the game

Yeah i doubt that is a good idea. If it ran off the normal luck system it would be too hard to play from the beginning of the game. Also there's barely any luck items so i think its good enough already

@@vircle1863 He's a character based solely on luck, so why not add luck onto the luck? Adding a small chance for a secret/angel/devil/shop room to appear instead of a treasure or boss item could spice up the run drastically. Plus, if it kills your run, you're not forced to take it.

and if you type the first letter of one of the colors of chips instead of a number it will make it behave like all your chips are that color for example to get a 100% chance for a good outcome with only red chips you would need to enter 100 as the amount you want and red as the color you want

You just need to subscribe to the mod on the workshop. You might have to turn the mod on in the mod tab (ingame) but new mods are normally activated by default

nc concept, but i feel like the character is too powerful without any downsides. like If one goes for the full 20, they'll get mostly positive outcomes. Less powerful than the D6, but still. The reduction in the shop pool was a good choice. and can even be enough... maybe. IDK. but a damn good and well thought out mod all in all. a definite good on imo
