1. Get more sunlight during the day. 2. Avoid screens before bedtime. 3. Be cool. (sleep in a colder temperature) 4. Go to bed at the right time. (keep a consistent sleep schedule) 5. Create a "sleep sanctuary". (remove any outside distractions) 6. Get it blacked out. (make sure your room is dark) 7. Calm your inner chatter. (relax before bed)

Resume: Classic 8hrs sleep rutine is bullshit. Quality > quantity. 1. 1:37 Get more sunlight during the day: for optimal hormone regulation. 2. 2:12 Avoid screens before bedtime: at least 1-2 hours before sleep, instead read paper books. 3. 3:40 Be cool (body temperature): optimal 15-20°C, if it's uncomfortable/cold wear a pair of socks. Take a warm bath 1-2 hours before sleep. 4. 4:33 Go to bed at the right time: 10pm-2am. 5. 5:30 Create a sleep sanctuary: Use your bedroom only for sleep… and sex. 6. 6:26 Get it black out: environment must be dark (shouldn't even be able to see your hand in the darkness). 7. 7:07 Calm your inner chatter: use meditation.

Lots of great tips. I also love to listen to calming podcasts or audiobooks. Works best for me to distract me from my own thoughts. I would mostly wake up at night, no issue falling asleep and I don’t want to be up at night meditating. I even now started my own podcast to help others struggling with sleep.

On playlist the music you like you'll listen to but make sure you have a few on your playlist that are ok. The ones that are ok you will fall into a deep relax thinking then you'll fall asleep. Remember good music mixed with ok music. The only thing that might disturb you but eventually you'll fall asleep if the stupid KZbin commercials in-between your playlist music. Just get use to hitting skip until you get tired of it. PLEASE TRY
