I have to admit I didn't think too much of this album 3 years ago; I mean, I liked it, but I didn't think it was anything too special. Fast forward to 2021, and after many "meditative" listens, I believe this album is a gem that will be talked about for decades to come.

Sam Caswell Aggrandizing? Uhm, yes... It’s Kanye West. 😂 But honestly, this might be the most humble he’s seemed since ‘All Fall Down’. It made me feel hopeful to see a rapper of his caliber denouncing the hedonistic and violent culture that surrounds rap. That was actually really refreshing. I’d also like to hear less songs about crack, ruining other people’s relationships and committing homicide for sport. Somehow, I agree with Kanye that ‘Make America Great’ is an inherently less destructive thing to rap about than the before-mentioned topics.
