This song is full of callbacks to previous Sleep Token tracks and is the "end" of the trilogy. It ties the story together and is a song of melancholy and acceptance. They have yet to play it live; they might wait to do so at the end of their tour as a fitting closer. "No, by now The night belongs to you (< "The Night Does Not Belong to God") This bough has broken through (< "When The Bough Breaks") I must be someone new" (< Indicating this might be the end of Sleep Token as we know it, all speculation of course as nothing is confirmed, and the band is very mysterious) The ending to Euclid has the same melody and lyrics as "The Night Does Not Belong to God", which is on their first full-length album "Sundowning", coming full circle. The line that relates the most to Euclid, the father of geometry, would be: " Yet in reverse, you are all my symmetry A parallel I would lay my life on" It's interesting to note that Vessel makes a lot of references to chemistry and science in general throughout Sleep Token's discography. There are many videos which are titled "reaction video". So my basic understanding of the song is that it is a farewell of a sense. I listened to the album the minute it dropped from beginning to end and there are quite a few songs that are personal and aren't sleep related, ie nothing about worship, no tokens to sleep, which is a bit unusual compared to they're previous albums as well as One & Two. He's passing the mantle to the fans, he's saying his time is done. Now that could mean as a musician entirely, OR, it could be this chapter of his life he's passing on. I believe the latter idea is supported do to the fact that they all got entire new get ups 6 months after the album dropped, which would just be an odd move if this was I fact the end of Sleep Token.

FYI, Hozier's new album is pretty fantastic... just saying Also... I'm sure you are familiar with Polyphia... I would be interested to hear an accomplished classical musician's take on their work... while their musicianship is absolutely top notch, their overall compositions are as simple as a hip hop beat... one 4 chord progression for 8 minutes straight sometimes... yet somehow my mind is titillated the entire time. Many musicians write them off as a parlor trick, globetrotter, kind of a group, but I think there is something more there. I mention them because in some ways they feel like the polar opposite of sleep token, who have usually simple riffs on the stringed instruments (vocals and drum fills are quite technical) but their overall composing ability has a lot more complexity and nuance (because of Vessel). Similar to tool in that regard: Technically simple (less percussion and vocals), compositionally complex. In my younger days I was more drawn to technical prowess. As I've grown up, I'm much more interested in the songwriting and compositional aspects of music. Really enjoying the fresh takes on familiar music, keep it up guys, your chemistry is great too, very entertaining.

@@Greatmeasures It might be interesting, rather than take the approach of easing into their sound, if you hit him with the most complex immediately. The contrast could be fun. I think their most complicated and difficult to play song is O.D. Playing god is quite interesting as well and I love the use of a nylon string electric guitar. This would be a more accessible first song. Their older stuff is absolutely worth delving into as well, Champagne is awesome, but much more typical.
