"So no, Rodney...You're nothing like him". Jesus. Gets me everytime. In that moment we realise how much Del admires and indeed loves Rodney. We never doubted it, obviously. But...Wow

Del pretty much brought Rodney up and raised him as Rodney was the last good pure thing Del Boy left had in terms of blood and memory that connected him to his mother as Rodney took after Joan then Freddie in terms of personality . Over the years, Del sacrificed a lot so that Rodney wouldn’t go into care - family, relationships etc and he always did his best for him and taking him away on trips etc Del saw to it that Rodney would end up NOTHING like Freddie, but 💯 took after Joan.

They gave each so much crap, but you never really see how much they love each other until this moment. Hands down, one of the greatest scenes in OFAH.

Del gives Rodney both barrels in describing Freddy the Frog. He then tells Rodney that he is nothing like the frog then pats Rodney on the shoulder.... saying "Let's go home ....... brother".

Del knows a lot about freddy here but in the frogs legacy he doesnt seem to have a clue who he is

Maybe he did but didn't want to tell him what he was really like.

Albert probably told him more between then and the final.

He probably had a very fond memory of him when he was younger having been told to call him “uncle Fred.” Del probably forgot over the years

For me the show ended in 1996, when they became Millionaires, and the 3 extra Xmas Episodes in the 2000s are just not quite right.... But the last 10.minutes of this final final episode was beautiful.

This should have been written into the Trilogy at the end of 1996.

I don't see why it matters 😕 So their mum had a fling with another guy, so what? Rodney' didn't turn out so bad. Until he left cassandra's dad's company 🙄 What an absolute plonker.
