This is my 31st year of teaching, and it is important to have a shut off valve so that you can relax whenever possible. Have boundaries in place to have time to decompress and not think about school. I enjoy writing letters, taking meaningless drives in my car, and walking during my summer vacation.

I have been teaching for 31 years. I love my job and giving my students the best education possible, but wind down time is extremely important. Thanks for reminding teachers of this. This is my 28th and final year of teaching. When not teaching I like to travel, read, lounge in the pool and hike. Now that I will be retiring next month I plan to brush up on Swedish, take classes at the community college and Skill Share, and learn to play the banjo. This was a fun video!

I just wanted to say,as you enjoy your summer break,that you,along with my youngest niece,who is now also a teacher,2 years in, You are heroes. You are underpaid,underapeciated heroes. I have enjoyed watching your videos(need to do a bit of catch up),I have watched you have stellar days,I have watched you having difficult times,which was so sweet and brave of you to share. Great video :) You can eat tea leaves?!?!? I learned something new. I wouldn't use sharpie ink on the cookies though....

You’re right, I wouldn’t use Sharpie on the candies for the cookies either!! 😂😉 It was an edible marker meant for food consumption.
