The slide by is a great move. I have seen this work against Olympic champions. It works great when the opponents collar tie is really tight.

goddam why is this move so fucken hard? i been tryin this for like 3 months and have only hit it once usually i end up just lookin like an idiot lol. Can you still hit it if theyre not pushing into you or do they need to be pushing in? watchin these details and gonna try it again because its such a slick move

they NEED to be pushing. The harder they push, the more success you'll have. stay forehead to forehead with your opponent. We have some kids in our room that are so effective with this, their coach is telling their kid "don't touch his head" (referring to our kids head).

Some other key points: 1.) stay forehead to forehead, not ear to ear. 2.) opponent needs to be pushing for this to be effective 3. Be AWARE - when you have this tie, your opponent has the EXACT SAME tie. They could do the same thing. 4.) your "power" from this move comes from your collar tie hand. You need to pull them by hard. In our wrestling room and on the competition mat while coaching our kids...we call this a "Storley" (this move was perfected by Logan Storley) so our opponents won't know what we are referring to. We also teach the "over tie slide bye", called the "Coleman Scott" -- which, is less risk because the your opponent doesn't have the exact same position, and we are finding its more effective. We also have the "Spencer Lee" which is a 2-on-1 tilt. :)
