I’m so happy they announced the slide update so early. It’s nice to have a company that’s actually transparent and listens to the community! This game is going to be a MONSTER in a few months!

I would say they could have been more transparent about the current state of the game, as it just feels unfinished. For now I still trust Frontier, that they want to give us the game we want and the announcements tackle the right points, so they probably just ran out of time. We allready know they normally also get free content updates with DLCs and the game isn't bad or unplayable, just not finished, so I'm quite positive about it

Yea that's how it works, they knew all these issues would piss people off and cause problems for Frontier. So they were like that sounds like fun let's have these issues in the game even though we have already fixed them.

i’ve been told i’m not allowed to by anything until christmas by my mother and i have mentioned this game so either way ill have it by christmas, but honestly with the amount of updates happening its going to be such an impeccable game when i do get it, well done frontier

It's good. The graphics don't look too different, except for the water which looks awesome imo. And the textures of the rides look more realistic. But the other quality of life elements around paths and money flow are definitely well done. A bit of a learning curve though!

I agree. They realise that maintaining good relations with their customer base and building up a reputation for listening to them will allow them to grow their potential for new customers (like me) and make more profit so that they can develop future games. This is a good productive cycle. I discovered Frontier in April 2024. I bought Planco 1 and JWE 2 on both PC and PS5, and now planco2 on pc

Idk how to mention this to frontier, but I need the antique cars to be able to each have a different color. They were different colored on the announcement of the vintage ride pack, so I would love for it to be able to do the same in game

it’s actually not impossible, Either A: let players choose certain colors they want to have on the cars in the ride construction menu and then the game would randomize it, or B: lets us add how many cars we want on the ride then go in and click each individual car and choose the car from there. If planet coaster 2 literally lets us make dragon statue out of small in game shapes and stick it to the front of a coaster car, I’m sure they could figure out how to have multi colored cars. So no, it’s not impossible, just difficult. And if it was impossible, then planet coaster advertised their product wrong and could be sued for deceptive or misleading advertisement. (Obviously no one’s going to do that)

Also one of many having issues with guests not riding rides and flumes. Quite a key component of a game centered entirely around guests riding rides and flumes 😂 Hoping it's fixed asap

I found out they won't ride flumes or use pools in winter... At all. Kind of makes sense, but a bit shit when that's half the game unusable for hours in game. Should have allowed indoor pools that hurts actually use in winter.

@@Dreadpirateflappy Yeah that doesn't make sense. My pool is indoors too. They use the big pool, but not the flumes, and no-one enters the shallow little jacuzzi I built. Shame as I spent ages decorating it. Hopefully all fixed soon!

The only issue I have is it’s locked to 30fps on Console, which is quite sad considering the first game ran beautifully at 60fps. I understand they locked it at 30fps to include slight graphical improvements and ray-tracing, but me personally would much rather 60fps over that. It’s a shame there isn’t a fidelity/performance option like most other games. VERY disappointing.

It's nice to see all of this coming! It definitely does seem like Frontier pushed them to put the game out this year, I'm guessing for quarter results, which is unfortunate that parts of it seem a bit not ready for launch. That said, the game is still fun, just hope these updates come fast.

The main thing I'm taking from all this is that they are obviously making changes that is enabled on PC and not letting the lesser hardware of consoles hold the game back for those that have the hardware to really let it shine

They really need to first focus on the pc ui. Building is a pain, placing coaster pieces and constantly having to click back and forth is so annoying man. The snap length constantly reseting when I place a piece is a joke. It doesn’t even feel like they played the game on pc

I’ve had a few issues. One is it rains ALL THE TIME. Like more than not raining. Guests randomly all leave the pool for seemingly no reason at different times of the day. Like completely empty. Guests will wait in line for a slide for a small period but then nobody rides any of them anymore, for days on end, if at all

Absolute W patch. The only thing they imo also should have done was defaulting scenery to custom over blueprints.

Updating the slides won't be a simple matter of making a patch. Hydrophysics are exponentially more complex than, say, coaster physics. I suspect they'll end up having to put the flumes on some kind of grid to limit the number of variables involved. If this was as easy as people seem to think, they would have done it already.

I know you have so much content to get out but I’d love some tutorial videos from you. I first found you through your PC1 tutorials on how to build. Since I can only be in the game a few hours a day after work, I’m struggling with the learning curve of the slight changes to the interface and finding things in the library. Hoping since you’ve had more access you could share some tips on how you’ve been using the new tools and designing in general in PC2

Everyone jumping on changing rooms, its NOT this, we have changing rooms, they simply wont join queues, it’s happening globally… not just pools but queues for all attractions but appears to be more prevalent on pools

I found a glitch where if you make a water slide and make it low to the ground and then make a special big piece like that large V shaped piece, it will appear in the ground and you can place it and for some reason it continues the slide under the map and if you try to bring the slide back up, it wont let you once you hit the ground under the map. You can even ride it and the tube goes threw the ground and you can see under the map and into the void. Also i found a glitch where sometimes when you hit Control+V to undo something, it will undo twice. And also some other glitches where i used the duplicate feature on scenery and then when i undid some stuff, it somehow caused the scenery piece to have multiple versions inside of each other. I had like 3 of the same objects inside of each other before. Also if you make the raft slide I believe it was and you make that huge curved ending piece that is goes into like a 135° angle. every time the raft enters into it no matter how slow it is going, it will smash really hard into the wall immediately upon entering that piece. Also when you make a waterslide and you place down a new piece that intersects with a support, the game does not remove the support, the support just stays there and clips threw the new piece. Also of you make a water slide go into the ground, it will reshape the ground down which is cool but it only does it like 20 feet and then if you keep going, the grass just goes threw the slide and you slide will just continue under the void which is stupid. Also in the scenery options, there are just some major categories that just have nothing in them. Why are they even there if when clicking on it, it just says "NO ITEMS". Also i noticed that the Icon for Planet Coaster 2 on PC looks horrifyingly ugly. Like it is super pixelated and low res and compressed. Idk why. Also sometimes the waterslide section ends that have the screws on them will sometimes just randomly be inside of each other. Also I wish there was a way to chose to make it rain or not.

I'm impressed with Planet Coaster 2, I'm sad I can't buy it yet, I think that's going to be my Christmas present haha. This game turned out to be a better 2nd part than Cities Skylines 2, that game 1 year later is still a disappointment, they haven't managed to fix the performance.

This game has lots of things missing from Planco 1, as a sequel is should be better.Also I feel they put a poor selection of themes in so they could sell the good ones from base game planco 1 as dlc later, I saw your video on how to make them but they just don't look the same and you can tell the boats and most of the pieces are viking. And imo the graphics look worse in Planco 2 than Planco 1

@@baconboy12 don't mind the people. We're in a condition where both the fans and the haters are in insanely intense mood. That being said, I have to wonder if there are settings and drivers that you could meddle in, because on my end the graphics are really great, especially when compared to Planco 1. Perhaps the Depth of Field and DLSS mentioned in this video? The themes though I feel you are being too harsh in calling them crappy. They have great set pieces and compared to the base or DLCs in Planco 1 each of them have significantly more props. I do think that the themes are way too... specific. I'm disappointed that common ones like wild west, pirates, medieval ones doesn't exist. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and they just want to avoid people feeling like it's not much different from Planco 1 and went for different themes, but yeah I hope they will at least port the vanilla Planco 1 assets back to Planco 2, or release a cheap DLC that includes ALL remastered Planco 1 themes. As of now we definitely can create "custom" themes with what we have but it's going to take significant amount of work to pull that off using basic shapes and such.
