Why would it matter if they got bigger, Netflix is really just blockbuster in this regard, the content is what Netflix needs, i know lots of people that don;t like netflix now,say it sucks but there is no alternative they imagine. Did blockbuster run the entertainment industry or was it the other way around?

People imagine that Netflix is untouchable. It isn't. The more shows you can put together, the bigger your audience is going to be. Netflix got a head start in streaming, it doesn't mean that the industry should bow to Netflix (or Amazon who has one of the worst streaming services, but it's just bundled together with Prime).

I agree with Rich. Currently only Netflix is profitable with steaming. Disney's strategy of buying 20th Century Fox over for the content does not seems to be working since Disney+ is still in huge losses. It will be a bad strategy to copy what Disney is doing when they are not doing very well right now. Moreover, buying Paramount's content over does not make good content, good management and creatives make good content, just see the example of Marvel and Star Wars content from 2009 to 2019. But Marvel is in such a mess now that, it seems Disney made an error of judgement to enter into steaming.

@@aightm8 That is probably not what Warner wanted. They want to be the King of the hill, rather than just about profitable.

That’s what I was saying.for a long time Forget the streaming. & trying to be that. Just be a studio that makes Good content & sale it to other platforms. $$$$money Baby Money! $$$$$$$
