@ronburgundy6579
@ronburgundy6579 Жыл бұрын
@@raqad4642 I would start out with finding a local flight school. Start out with a discovery flight and see how you match with the instructor. Instructor selection is very important. Then start taking your lessons. Many schools used to have an agreement to hire you as an instructor at the school if you do all of your training with them. Fly 2-3 times a week if possible. It’s saves you money as you don’t spend a lot of time relearning things you may have forgotten. Good luck in your endeavors. 35 is not too old to start. If you get hired by the time you’re 40, you’ll have 25 years until retirement! Now get out there and start flying! You won’t regret it.😎👍

So much fun watching her solo! I remember my first solo in a 1959 Cessna 172 in 1964. A high five to the instructor. My first solo student as a Flight Instructor crashed a Piper Colt after I got out, removing 225 lbs from the aircraft and reminding her what changes she would notice with only her in the plane; she landed 50 feet short of the runway and flipped the aircraft over on its back. Zero wind day early morning, no thermals, sun to her back, and had 15 hours in her log book and performed 4 perfect landings before I let her go. Her skills were good; she was rested and emotionally ready. The field was a grass strip 3,000 feet long with no trees or wires. She was 20 years old, mature, not injured, and had crawled out of the plane by the time I had run to help. I still wonder what I missed or could have done to make her more ready? The handheld radio for the instruction on the ground would have been helpful. Some things get better, and some things get worse. There are way too many accidents caused by pilot errors. In general, women seem safer due to not taking chances, whereas Alpha men are more confident and take more risks. Their first year of flying may be the safest after they get their license. I have seen IFR Flight Instructors with a student teaching in IFR conditions, and after they landed, I spotted all the static vents plugged up with wax when the plane had been washed and waxed. Bad preflight can kill you. A flight aways begins before you leave home, even two or three days before you must ensure you are physically and mentally ready to fly.

I remember my first solo. Without the additional weight of my instructor, I was shocked by how the aircraft "popped" up into the sky. It caught me unawares, totally. The freaky part was that my instructor didn't tell me I would be soloing. After some circuits, we taxiied to close to the parking area and he literally just jumped out, buckled the passenger harness and yelled "Good Luck!" Of course, I talked to myself throughout the whole circuit. The landing was great and ATC congratulated me on my first solo. I was stoked.

Leave the pattern, work towards navigation flights and finally prepare for your cross country. My first solo was at the airport of Midden-Zeeland in the Netherlands on the fifth of december. In the Netherlands a special day which you can more or less compare with Santa Claus in the USA. So I could not get a better present than a solo flight. Still remember I was not nervous at all. Roula, you did GREAT! Honestly, many licensed pilots don't land as well as you'd done. You seem a natural stick and, if you were nervous, you certainly didn't fly that way. OK, I was going to write that you also seem like the sort of person who keeps her act together when things go wrong but, since there is another video with you where things "go wrong", I'd thought I should check that out first. Now, having seen that, it is apparent that you _are_ the type of person who keeps her cool. I'd bet that you also have a talent for driving. Welcome to the sky!

You’re heart is beating 😂😂 my first solo flight was in a zlin 142 i got the compressor unplugged in mid downwind so i had to put my right foot on it to keep it plugged 😂 I survived but I wished I could be excused from the first solo celebration, oh god i had a footprint on my ass for 3 days it was giving off heat, a great deal for that winter 🤣🤣 now I’m a helicopter pilot and my first solo on a cabri G2 is something else hovering at 1 m high, left side 10 kt wind “ let’s dance leet’s daaaance💃🏻🕺🏻”😂
