Flymochairman1 unless there’s another meaning for cruiser. In the states it’s short for police cruiser. It’s pretty common sense in the states but I’m sorry if you are overseas and the police vehicles are just called cars etc. And in states like the officers side carry gun both guns are loaded with one in the chamber typically up to choice by the officer. Veteran officers and experienced like will usually carry in condition one which means loaded with one in the chamber. This crossbow can carry a full set of rounds and one ready to go. To those of you shooting in a weapon for the first time, I have a few tips for you. 1. Shoot an easy to read target at a medium - long range of the weapons range. (use the smallest red dot available, but still visible) 2. Fire from a perfectly stable position if possible, this means sitting or prone with the weapon/ your arms supported. (Use a backpack, sandbag or whatever you have that can somewhat form around and support your arms/ hands). 3. Fire atleast 3 shots from this "perfect" position, then go read the target and adjust accordingly. (you should not expect a 2cm group, just adjust for the average point of impact - this is why you fire several shots, also to reduce the impact of randomness) 4. Repeat until satisfied. (Now's not the time to rush it, Zero will determine how fast you'll be able to shoot later on - perfect zero requires little to no adjustment of your hold) Do remember that if you sight in the weapon for 50m, then the bolt will be lower than the point of aim the first few meters, but it will hit high at 40m because it's falling down into 50m. This won't matter much for the average joe, but if you decide to pratice accuracy at various ranges it'll come in to play. All this is based on firearms training, but it should all translate very well into crossbows - it's mostly the same with higher drop and more importance in hold (The bolt leaves the weapon slower, therfor putting more focus on hold might be an advantage).
@FRANK45CASTLE Жыл бұрын
In the army we call this zeroing the optic and you have the right idea. I'd also recommend using a zeroing target which are easy enough to find online. Has square boxes all over that usually means a single click per square your off. Makes it easy!

you probably know this but that tube of wax is for the string. extends the life by a TON. instead of 2 seasons you'll get 4+ easy. might be slightly different with crossbow but its been about 6 years for me with a bow (60lb) draw and i shoot way to much but they still look and feel new. @georgewashington16214 жыл бұрын
How do you use it? I've just recently got my first bow, a 60lb compound bow (ManKung CB75), shot it maybe a couple hundred times so far, havent waxed the string yet. I've searched on youtube how to do it, and it seems that people give conflicting advice. Some say you should use leather patch and heat the string pretty good rubbing it in, some say that you should only rub with your fingers and heat the string very very lightly, also people give conflicting advise on which parts should be waxed, some say that the part where the technical strings go through the string holding mechanism (my bow doesnt have a roller, just a plastic(?) part with grooves for the string) should be waxed, some say that it shouldnt be waxed as it will attract particles and they will wear the string much faster. So i'm quite confused as to how to actually do it.

Zero need to apologize for being bilingual. We all know you speak German Jörg. :-) English has gotten better and better over the years too. Noticeably easier to understand than just a few years ago even. Practice makes perfect ay? Wish my German was as good. BTW, this is such a killer dream crossbow. Well done. That magazine system really gives ya an instant leg... up, on a horse, ridden by an elf.

I have a suggestion and I don't know where to put it so I'm sticking in what seems to be your latest video. You know those plastic clips that keep bread bags closed? Break off one side of the clip part and then jam the tip of your middle finger into the gap. Place your thumb very firmly onto the side of your middle fingertip, then push outward with your middle finger (like you would do if you were flicking a bit of crud off a table or something) till it pops lose from your thumb. If you do it right the bread clip will fly off with suprising amounts of force, if you also use your whole arm, and in particular your wrist it becomes rather dangerous and can cause a fair amount of harm. Accuracy comes with about a week of practice. Now.... In the hands of an amused German guy with a great haircut this concept could be taken to another level, and after that a semi automatic level and so on untill you would be able to doing all of the bread clips at hellacious velocity with amazing accuracy. Now... Where would we find such a person? I wonder...

Hello Jorg, congratulations on putting the thing in production. You, and Hickock45 are the main schooting channels i follow. How cool would it be if you managed to ship one of these to Tennessee (home of Dolly Parton and Alvin York!), Hickock and John are also into bows, would be pretty cool if they could review the repeating bow, and yes, you would not be able to keep up with the demand if this would happen. :-)

Joerg, here's an idea for how to fix the 'last bolt' pressure/friction issue you mention for long-range accuracy: You know how car *windshield wipers* have a main central lever arm that holds the wiper onto the windshield, but the wiper itself is on a swivel and thus held flat against the windshield, spreading its pressure and making a flat contact along the whole length of the wiper blade? Well, you could modify the magazine lever to have a similar construction and function. Instead of just having the single pressure point of the lever-tip / hook pressing down on the last bolt, you could have a thin 'blade', sort of like a windshield wiper blade, which acts as a 'dummy bolt', and which spreads the pressure all along the last bolt, without requiring you to load in an 'extra bolt' just to serve that same purpose. If the 'dummy bolt' 'blade' is designed well enough, and using the right materials (perhaps even carbon fibre, but as a thin partly-tubular strip rather than a complete tube), it could have basically identical pressure and friction properties as a real bolt. Then, you could *actually* store six bolts in the magazine and fire them all with the same accuracy characteristics. Although, of course, this would not be recommended by the manufacturer. 😉 *Notes:* 1) You could even design it in such a way that it still acts like a string hook to prevent cocking on an empty magazine. 2) This concept that each bolt is being held sandwiched between two surfaces (the bolt above, and the rail below) could then be re-thought so as to minimize friction and amplify whatever guidance characteristics both the rail and *the bolts themselves* have, to make the system more efficient for accurate long-range fire. For example, the bottom surfaces of each bolt could be designed to be rail-like themselves: low friction and very straight. They could almost be shaped like tongue-and-groove building materials (like wooden planks or various kinds of tiles) to get the bolts above to help guide and slide the bolt being fired beneath it. Of course, this might make the bolts too specialized (and thus too expensive) perhaps, and maybe it's not worth the effort. But it's just an interesting idea that the windshield-wiper-blade idea gave to me, so I thought I'd mention it. Cheers!

Hope the next generation adder is done with a reversed draw placed inverted to make way for the cocking lever below also inverted so instead of pulling the bow string back it be pushed back and reset as a damper in normal position which leaves free space for a detachable magazine in front of the trigger but stock can be used for leverage too and the cocking handle also have a Winchester style handle for ease of cocking.
