I have a 2003 model as shown, also in the same colour. It was left to me by my father in law when he passed away. He had it from new, serviced as per the book, money no object , if anything needed to be done then it was done. I am now reaping the rewards of that care and attention it received at an early age. She is at 130,000 miles and still going strong. She goes in to the garage tomorrow to have an alternator check as we have lights on the dash, but hopefully it will be a simple fix. The metallic green colour is not the best, as is the brown interior, but it still holds all the paint with no rust at all, a few dents, but no rust, even where the paint has been breached. Not worth a great deal now but I tell you now, once she goes, she will be replaced by the same. Apart from my Saab 900 Aero Turbo soft top she is the best car I have ever owned. And it was free. What more do you want or need.

Mine has 400,000km and is perfect. Only at 100,000km the bimass clutch was replaced, since then it has a simple clutch with more torque.

I call bullshit on this specific test. obviously the model wasn't performing as per the 4x4 system should have. The Australian market got the following (listed below) "The SM Santa Fe had a full-time, four-wheel drive system developed by Steyr-Daimler-Puch which consisted of a viscous coupling locking planetary differential inside the front transaxle. In normal conditions, the system provided a 60:40 front:rear torque split, though torque distribution could be varied according to traction. The Santa Fe was also fitted with a limited-slip rear differential as standard. ". Every Santa-Fe since was a FWD/AWD system, not a 4x4 system.

Да только сантафе 1 комплектация без лсд была и надо помнить что клиренс у неё выше, а на практике как раз таки клиренс имеет решающее значение

to be fair, the treads on the new Santa fe are brand spanking new. AWD isnt shit when theres barely any grip on the tires. A front whele drive car with snow tires has far better grip than a all wheele car with factory tires

Yeah that adaptive power control is nice. But I'll never put my 2005 2.7 on rollers. Nor will I ever be driving over something like that in fwd. This test is for people who bought a car with no real use for it. Fe is my daily, and i may spend a bit on gas, but goddamnit is she one of the best rides ive ever had. Just hit over 250k, and 90% of the car is new underneath. Front and rear struts n shocks are in a box right next to me and my family owns a shop. The alternator is next and a power steering pump is last and she will basically be a 2020. I dont even want to replace the alternator lol the wurring when i turn her off reminds me of a star wars ship shutdown of sorts. Hyundai has done amazing and id have never guessed it before this.

How is the old AWD system? Didn't know it has traction control (diagonal test passed!) Still curious about how is the system as it struggled to pass the front roller test.

There were two versions, this one has Steyr-Daimler-Puch viscous center diff. I don't know why it it struggled to pass the front roller test, maybe cause it's 60/40 fwd biased. TC worked great for almost 20 years old car.

Ten z filmu (czyli mój) ma lsd z tyłu, do tego dwie sekcje abs/TCS z przodu, z tyłu niestety jedna sekcja, pewnie dlatego przeszedł ładnie test pod bocznymi kołami i pod "skosem" 😁
