I was behind a 4th gen CRV on a snowy hill once and it was actually stuck because its front wheels couldn't get traction. I couldn't believe it. What was even the point of that AWD system other than the badge? I just drove around him in my Outlander.

Could you do a comparison between this RAV4 and the RAV4 hybrid AWD? It would be a nice comparison but I doubt that the hybrid will perform as good as the normal AWD.

I AM SO HAPPY THAT MY 2004 CRV IS A MANUAL!!! NOT ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED. Mechanical and Fluid controlled. This is the reason why I did NOT by a CRV newer than 2006.

Honda miażdży. Pamietam jak testowałem to auto zimą i po trzech dniach byłem przekonany, że mam FWD. Wtedy ojciec zadał pytanie, czy ma 4x4. Ja mówię, że nie, ale w sumie to nie wiem. Zaglądam pod spod, patrze, a tam napęd 4x4. Ot taki to napęd 😜

@@4x4.tests.on.rollers Standard one. I have 2.0 Disel multijet 170hp and i did some diagonal tests. Sand mode and mud mode is magic. Snow mode is logical - more spining for snow... I tried all with combination ESP off and on... Impressive

@@jovandjukic5923 2.0 diesel was the best choice for this car. Active Drive is great, that's top tuned traction system but take care of it cause it is complicated. Dog clutch in PTU, multiplate clutch at the back, that's a lot of elements and a lot of synchronisation of disconnected driveshaft.

LOL Honda CRVs are good for fuel economy and reliability. They are like minivans for Target with 0 off-road ability, and horrible traction on snow. The new CRV and Rav4 have much better AWD but they are still inferior to the Germans, Subaru, Suzuki, and Jeep.

wczoraj w dość głębokim śniegu stał nasz rav i sie troche zapadł i wyjechal dopiero na lock i trc off ale widać było że na przod za malo mocy idzie bo jakby szło więcej to by wyjechal na luzie

Nie ma możliwości, żeby za mało szło na przód, ten układ awd bazuje na przednim napędzie. Problem mógł być tylko w odcinaniu mocy silnika.
