Pinch Harmonics are hard for some people pick up on it fast some takes forever nothing wrong and maybe it fou have a decent amp you crank the gain up maybe the mods I think highs and treble but you still need to learn I wish I could explain it but you have to just do it but still learn on KZbin the hardest one is harmonics on the Low E string I been playing for 4 years and can’t do that one practice songs that have harmonics like bring me to life taught me a little about how to do harmonics oh maybe add some vibrato helps and last have fun I know i typed a lot but maybe this can help you hope I didn’t waste your time oh btw this song is in Drop B unfortunately
@knightfromjupiter
@knightfromjupiter 9 күн бұрын
@@CrossFadeismyfavorite hey thank you for your comment! Since when I wrote mine I think I learned a lot, it helps to have good pickups (for example active EMGs) and I think the distance from the pickups to the strings is also important, if they are close the output is higher and harmonics hit harder. Check out my channel if you want to see a couple Trivium covers. Thank you!

In the past I've actually skipped Slipknot quite a lot despite the fact I'm very much into hard metal but now this song just opened my eyes when I started listen to it.

Have you tried hitting the chord with your thumb at different places? Gojira has a song called "magma" where the main "riff" is just pinch harmonics played at different places. :)

@@befrnigel Yea I've tried that and I think I get the right note but the sound is just way off...I think it is related to my crappy distortion effect...

Why Slipknot don't call him in his band? Obviously he is good, I would be pleasantly surprised to hear a new sound from the band!

I know this comment is 2 years old. But what were you trying to say ? He is in slipknot. Did you not know that, or were you trolling?

yo no sé si a ustedes les transmite lo mismo, pero pareciera que jim esta pensando en "estoy perdiendo mi tiempo aqui". no se lo siente cómodo, o con muchas ganas de hacer esto..
