Why don't the haters say something, if he is full of shit then say so! However, I have not seen where he may be trying to fertilize the landscape. However some love to hate because they can, therefore they are full of shit or be someone who stands for their opinion. I agree Hobbie is way too damn expensive for the product they turn out!

On the Topwater106 PDL did any water leak into the kayak while pedaling it ?

I'm in the market for another PDL kayak, I just sold my Native Mariner 126, because it was just too heavy for me to handle from the truck to the water, so I was going too get the Native Slayer 10' but I've had Old Town before, and now that they have the peddle drive, I'm considering them. I use my kayak for duck hunting in the swamps, as well as fishing for Reds in the marsh, my only problem is that the Native has camo and the Old Town Sportsman is only available in the blue or orange . Is Old town going to have different color options for 2022 ?
@SlotCityFishing Жыл бұрын
I think yak attack makes a camo duck blind for the yak. I would check that out. Thanks for watching and hope you susbscribed!

"The lighter and easier it is for me to transport, the more I will end up using it." Exactly my sentiment. I have a Topwater 106 (not PDL) and I love it for that reason.

I'm from WV and the biggest lake we have here is 2700 acres but most of the lakes I would be going on would be under 1000 acres. I am your size and have been thinking about the Topwater 106 PDL. Do you think that is adequate or should I go on up to the 120?

if you want to stand at all get the bigger one you will have a much better experience.

now they have a slightly updated version of the predator for 2020. The updates are the front hatch is held shut with bungee instead of click seal, deck padding of the floor, different hatch in the drive, an updated rudder control (like the topwater has), build in track on replaceable front and rear mounting plates, a forward facing rod holder (like the topwater 120), power pole ready, and composite rudder with built in handle. Oh ya AND dropped the price from $2,799 (if I remember right) to what it is now $2,599

Man this was a cool review you did of the top Waters. I am looking to upgrade to the pedal drive kayak. I know I should fit pretty well in it for being 6'0 217 Ibs the only thing I'm worrying about is the pedals they look a little narrow. I have big very very wide feet sz15 6 EEEEEE with very fat wide toe that equal a straight across making it for a very very wide foot. Do you know are the foot pedals pretty wide. My foot is 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my little toe. I have a lot of problems with my foot sliding off the foot brace because of it being so wide. So I have to kayak barefooted 👣 because of that. Did you have any problems with your foot sliding off the pedals or anything ! it look like your flip-flops never slid off. I like your flip-flops to man they are awesome. I had the same pair and color. I never worn flip-flops until my foot had out grew shoes 30 years ago. I Always play around barefooted👣 I love these flip-flops they are so comfortable. I am surprised that they've hell up to the abuse of my big very very wide feet with very fat wide toes for 5 years of me wearing 365 day out of the year. I just wish they made them a little more wider because both of my lil toes hanging off the foot bed but don't touch the ground when I walk which is a good thing. It's really embarrassing to have a foot this wide with very Fat wide toes because it has stopped me a couple of times from buying a kayak. Apologize for being so long . again great video man thank you for sharing your video.

2 things....(1) The 106 may be lightweight to you but not to me. It's not heavy , but it is definitely not lightweight. In fact this is the final hurdle except for the demo of course. I just looked at one and lifting it I will adjust to (I want that kayak) (2) You did not actually test the kayak in swells and big waves. So a negative on that was unfair. I did see a vid. of a topwater 106 going thru some sketchy waves and it handled just fine.
@SlotCityFishing4 жыл бұрын
I’m 5’9” 210lbs. For me this isn’t a very stable yak. For you it could be. These are just my opinions go out and try it yourself it could be perfect for you.
@mialily2064 жыл бұрын
@@SlotCityFishing You are right, what is stable for my body type may not be for you! But I did not comment on the stability in calm water. I commented on the weight of kayak and also ability in waves , inshore ,bay fishing, coastal. Sounds like this one is just too small for you . All is good Happy fishing.

Great review of the boat, just one thing, stop using your rod guides as a hook keeper. Your going to regret that one day when you chip a ring unknowingly and you get broken off. It always happens on big fish too. Other than that thanks for the review man and tight lines to ya!
@SlotCityFishing4 жыл бұрын
You’re absolutely right man. That was a very old beater rod I don’t ever really fish it. My nicer setups I 100% use the hook keepers. Thanks for watching our videos man. Tight lines.
