I just realized I’ve been doing just that 😅. I didn’t know it’s called pilates. I just did what I thought would target the specific part of my muscle well, but I’ve trouble with my back forearm fat, no amount of stretching could get rid of it..

You can't spot reduce fat. It's genetically decided where you lose fat faster and if you want to get rid a fat in a certain area you need to lose fat overall.🤷 Science

@@dea_sanguinaria I thought so too.. but apparently there is some leeway because I have been successful in targeting a lot of my body areas. It has to do with posture! (U can read up on this. Posture affects how fats are deposited.)

@@queen_minnieme8321 Posture in no way affects where your body stores fat, or whether you lose weight or not. What research HAS shown is that a good posture can make someone visually look 10lbs lighter. The other thing is that some research showed that in individuals who have horrible posture for years, their muscles get weak especially abdominal muscles and they might gain weight more easily. But that still doesn't mean it is guaranteed to go to your stomach, it still is just genetics. Where you gain weight first and lose weight first are all genetics, posture can affect the appearance and good posture can help your muscles, but whether you lose weight in your stomache first is all based on your genetic lottery luck! Sounds like yours has been pretty good so far, so seems you are in the lucky bunch!

This just doesn’t apply to Pilates people. Like I hate when egotistical people make fun of someone for doing a smaller weight but being controlled. You always wants to kind of go slow. Do negatives make sure your breathing better and are targeting. Even if you can’t do a full ten it doesn’t matter u want to target the muscle a lot of people be rushing thru the full count because honestly they aren’t breathing correctly or slowing down. People should try not to slow down on a workout you would realize how much more you would get out of your workout then rushing. Remember people a gym whether at home or at a gym should be a place of releasing not rushing. 😁
