Take some apples and a few basic ingredients and turn them into the most delicious jam / dessert topping / sandwich spread you’ll ever taste! Lightly spiced and with background flavours of vanilla and caramel, this easy to make Apple Butter is sure to become a quick family favourite - give it a go!
Ingredients:
1.5 Kg of Red Apples (peeled, cored and diced)
1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
1 Cup of Water
3 Cinnamon Sticks
2/3 Cup of Brown Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon of Ground Cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon of Ground Nutmeg
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
Preparation Time: About 15minutes
Total Cooking Time: About 7 hours (HIGH SETTING) or 14 hours (LOW SETTING)
MAKES APPROX. 2 to 3 standard Jam Jars
