If you're ever on a five or six hour road trip, try using the engine of your car as a slow cooker! Never done it myself but it's on the ol' bucket list.

Oh.. and love the ricer! It works great for boiled eggs to make egg salad sandwiches without big chunks of egg whites! 😎

I can smell and taste that from here in Thailand. I'm going to have a go at that ,using local beef that needs slow cooking. It looks delicious. not sure about the spud ricer though. I still use my old trusty masher.. Keep em coming Keef.

This sounds really good! I think the only place we can get this cut/type of meat as at the Mexican butcher/store in town. I'm going to have to go have a look! Thank you and God bless!

Hey Keef, good luck with your dry January. Just a tip, if you don't want to open a bottle of wine when cooking this sort of thing, you can use a good glug of red vermouth instead. Probably not so tempting to finish the bottle!
@Keefcooks2 жыл бұрын
No, I love vermouth more than vino - developed a taste for it in Spain!

Ox Cheeks sort of fall into the camp of offal on the butchers count, like heart, kidneys, liver, oxtail, etc... all these cuts are superb when cook right and actually give more valuable goodness to your diet. Nice vid Keef. Ta! Um, those spray oil you use.. hmm, you might want to research those as with sunflower oil. I'll just leave that there.... Anyway... going to check your site for heart! Yum.
@Keefcooks2 жыл бұрын
I don't know what you're getting at with the spray oil. I know they tend to be emulsified with lecithin but that doesn't worry me at all.

Aye Keef, beef cheeks, eh? Tough as owd boots they are! Ye've got to cook 'em proper slow, like. Chuck 'em in yer slow cooker, or a pressure cooker if ye can't wait, but dinnae be rushin' it. Let 'em simmer away all day, and by the time ye get back 'ome, they'll be reet soft, fallin' apart and tasty as owt. Nowt beats a slow-cooked meal after a long day, does it
@paulg55482 жыл бұрын
Oh that looks delicious. Might have to have a crack at this
@jonathanfinan7222 жыл бұрын
The main reason I own a pressure cooker is because of pig and beef faces. But, like you say, it only takes one J***e O****r to cook them up on the telly and the price sky rockets. Still, Morrisons is good for both.
