There’s nothing small or boring about your life. I think it’s wonderful. It peaceful and satisfying to watch. When I was on social media I used to compare myself and my life to other peoples and it always made me feel so bad and I always thought I should be doing what everyone else is doing. But now that I’ve been off social media for the last 5 years I feel so much happier. I don’t compare myself anymore and I love my life. I realized I don’t have to be doing what everyone else is doing. I’m happy and satisfied doing my day to day chores and errands. I’m happy staying home and hanging out with my husband. I don’t need to go out and spend money to be happy. My favorite thing to do is cuddle with my husband and cat. We watch our favorite shows and movies. We cook yummy food together on the weekends. I love it so much. It makes me happy.

I used to be a kindergarten teacher. I'd come home and just want to be quiet. I live alone now and quiet is what I have! Sometimes I think it would be nice to have someone like Esa to share the quiet moments with. I knit and I read (and hike near the ocean, on trails, bike , kayak, skate a little, swim...) paint, watch the birds..and I think some people would think my life is boring. I don't care. Peaceful is what I love. And Sanna, I completely understand your yearning for a yarn store...you want to feel the yarn and see the real colors, right?

How lucky I was to have bumped into your lovely channel in early January just a week or so before my wife and I briefly visited your enchanted part of the world! Watching your beautiful videos, the old and new ones, helps to keep our wonderful memories from fading away. Thank you. One more thing. Over the years, among other things, I have taught English as a foreign language, and I must tell you that your artistic and poetic use of English as a storytelling medium makes me fall even further in love with it. However, your references to silence at the breakfast table and in forest reminds me of something the 13th century Persian Poet, Rumi wrote, that "silence is the language of God; everything else is a poor translation." Your older dog had the most to say about this. 8-)

Silence in nature, is very healing. I moved to a very small, rural town and it used to be like that here. But when you have a neighbor that insists on constantly blasting their music, it ruins it. boom boom boom boom boom, first thing in the morning. 6am, 7am, 6am, etc. I long for peace and quiet 😭 You are very blessed to have that. I grow chamomile, too. If you pull the flowers off once they form, it will keep producing all season, more and more. I love it. I even open the jar I store them in, just to smell it. It's wonderful.

Mukavaa maaliskuun jatkoa!

Hello from California ~ I think your thoughts about how humans and so many animals 'own' or believe they own the same forest is wonderful! I can imagine a simple children's story with outstanding illustrations of the forest in all seasons and the wanderings of the animals that share your forest. I am an American Finn-Swede - our village is Korsnas/Korsbäck on the west coast of Finland just south of Vaasa. My Mom was first generation American with both of her parents coming from Österbotten. My mom's first cousin worked as a doctor in Rovaniemi for a while and I have travelled to Norway's Samiland twice and spent time on the tundra in both summer (trekking) and winter (snowmobile across the high plateau) near the Sami Parliament and to Kautokeino, a Sami town. While I walked alone on the snow-packed streets of the town in winter, I felt such ease and so safe. I learned recently that I am 32% Finnish (and about 23% Swedish) and my maternal genetic line (Haplogroup K1C1) is from Siberia from a female 10K years ago who scientists refer to as Kristine. California is far too hot for me and my children. We all suffer through the summer's heat and rejoice in the winter which is still very mild, naturally. We crave the cold and are most energetic in cold conditions. All of my family is still in Suomi-Finland and now in Sweden and Norway, too. My kids and I are the last Americans left in the USA. I'm so happy to have discovered your channel. Kiitos!

I watched your beautiful video last night, but this is the first chance I have had to leave a comment. In it you mentioned reading before sleep - something I do regularly and have done so for very many years. Last night, I watched your video, which was at the same time peaceful and calm, but also inspiring. In many ways, it takes me back to my childhood, and to my grandparents (I am a grandfather myself now, so it can be a bit of a stretch 😁). Their life was uncluttered compared to many lives these days. They grew their own vegetables, kept chickens, and ate the seasons produce - no broccoli was flown in from Kenya back then! Too many people have lost touch with the natural world. I am so grateful to see that you have not, and enjoy every moment of your videos. I also appreciate how hard you both work to achieve the most basic things, such as keeping warm! My very best wishes to you both

Greetings! I grew up in the state of Maine, in New England (born: 1951). I remember drifts so high in winter that we had to practically shovel the house out from under them. The crust of the snow would get so hard because of the low temperatures we could skate on top of it. I lived in a four-room log cabin that my father built while he was building our permanent home. (We had an outhouse rather than a bathroom--that was no fun.) We had an Irish Setter named Sunday who loved the snow. Later my father built his own line of sleds and raced huskies and malamutes. We all skied and used shoe shoes. Yup! We followed animal tracks, as well. This woman's house looks quite a bit like my dad's log cabin! (Hmmm. Do the dogs understand English and Norwegian? If so, they're darn smart!) I can certainly relate to the climate!! I've always felt very much a part of nature; to me, the planet really belongs to the other species. But, then, I'm a bit different! For the last two decades I've lived in St. George, Utah, in the American Southwest. The older I became, the less I could deal with the snow, sleet, rain, and cold. This is one of the most beautiful areas in the nation, with five major national parks: Zion, Arches, Bryce, Canyonlands, and Capitol Reef. It's a fascinating geological area that is studied by geologists from all over the world. The Grand Canyon is just a few hours away in Arizona. I spend a great deal of time driving the roads throughout southern Utah. I subscribed, Sanna! I'll keep watching and try to lend any support I can. Good luck! Lana Lorenzen

I think we never really own the land but rather we are just temporary custodians. We try to bend the land to our will but as soon as we turn our attention away nature will relentlessly reclaim its place in sculpting the landscape. I am so glad that it does that.

One of my favorite books is called the Fox in the Cupboard. It is written about a lady learning how to ride a horse and then fox hunt. However it also about how her life and horses are new to her and the things she learns.

Hi Sanna, watching your videos from Johannesburg South Africa, im truly enjoying watching your videos ❤, you're inspiring me so much, im 58yrs old live in a township, 2 months ago I made a resolution plan that i feel i need to explore country lifestyle for my retirement age, spiritually it will uplift me and bring me to more realization of nature and feel present, contibute towards taking care of nature and more so be able to face my fears on creatures and hiking etc. So its still a plan im praying to God for wisdom and providence, this will help me align holistically. Im proud of you girl❤✨️👍

I’m envious of your life. I love the slowed down pace of things and there’s comfort in consistency. Everyone has their own natural rhythm or routine. Yours is more in tune to mine and I’m never bored. When I have free time, I like you, love to knit. Your setting and snowy wonderland is very beautiful. I can’t wait to see your next video. 🌈☮️☃️❄️🧶

You and this concept are amazing. My entire life, I've been under the illusion that there was something "wrong" with me, but now I see there isn't. I didn't know there were others like this. The overwhelm is too much, and the need for solitude is like the need for air. Non sensitives run the world and see us differently. The difference is painfully and deeply felt. Vagabonding doesn't seem to be the answer. Bonding with like-minded souls is. Thank you, Sanna for your videos.

Oh my gosh, Sanna!!! I love your stash!!! I saw it during the beginning of the video...I love your color choices, so soothing and calm, like your videos. For so many years, I wanted to live a slower life. Now that I am retired, I am finding myself doing the same things you do daily and it brings me so much joy! I finally have time to do all the things I dreamed of doing when I was at work. Every day brings more joy and excitement...even though it is also "boring". I am now following you on Instagram and I look forward to seeing your videos pop up on KZbin....thank you for your content ❤

Sanna , I think you have a good, and simple life, uncluered like it is in the rest of the world. I like your cabin also. It's a bit cold for my taste but you can all seem to handle it well. I love your dogs, they are family too. Especially the little Shelty. ❤

I find your vlogs to be very calming and healing. Its quite difficult to articulate exactly how I feel, but I wanted to say 'thank you' for sharing such natural beauty, earthly wisdom and a sense of peace. Wishing you every success with your business - I hope that us/we - your new KZbin friends - will be able to help it grow and grow :-)

I love your life! I live simply on an island in the north east of the US and love it. We seem to have so much in common, though I am about 40 yrs older than you. I am the only family member to live this way, everyone else are city people, with so much going on, staying up late and just not being connected to "Mother nature". I also love the inside of your cozy home, particularly the room you had your carrot cake/coffee in. My days are also filled with needlework, photography, veggie garden design for the upcoming season and just plain ol trying to relax a very "noisy" mind. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing such a wonderful way to live. Good luck with your business, I wish I could help, but too far to give any to you.

Thanks for pointing out the trap we can fall into with social media. Comparison is the root of low self-esteem I read once. Your channel just inspires me to be more me, because you remind me of parts of myself that have gone on the backburner ;)

I can relate to your experience of deep silence out in the winter woods. We are starved for silence in modern urban life. I think there's something in it that humans need. I also enjoy reading animal tracks and signs after a snowfall. It's almost like reading a community newspaper. The community of the forest. Who has been passing through, and what were they up to? Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.
