I've found this really helpful. I have tried other methods where you do a room a day but I find them quite overwhelming with 3 small children. This is so much more manageable. I'm going to come up with a plan tomorrow 💛

Aw I'm so glad! This is exactly how I felt following other routines, also it's the mentality of it I think - the thought of a whole room to deep clean really would make me dread it, but thinking oh it's only 1 thing here 1 thing there makes things feel simple! X

The theme for the day is exactly how my mum describes her childhood. Back then, in the 1950s, it was for practical reasons as they didn’t have all the appliances we do, so it took all day to do the washing and made more sense to do it all together. I think we need to consider returning to this approach as a way to live more simply and calmly. Really like your cleaning routine. I’m going to give it a go. Thank you.

I love this and am going to try it! I would LOVE TO see this in action in DITL vlogs. You could totally turn this into a 6 part series and show each day!

Ahhh just when I need a video like this the most! I’ve been so lacking in energy recently and letting housework get on top of me, especially being home all day. I’m so bad with hard routines and have found myself dreading my deep cleaning day because there’s just so much to do! Small tasks daily and having themes of the day sound like such a nice change of pace. Definitely giving it a go! Thank you 💫 Would love to see a DITL vlog too!

I'm the same I find heavy routines too overwhelming and it just makes me feel guilty if I don't achieve it all and then u end up falling way behind. Don't get me wrong - mess isn't always bad, but we all know we feel better when we are on top of things ♥️ so glad it was helpful ! Yessss I think I should do that too x

I love that crafting is a weekly theme! And I am loving your channel - the attitude of making daily life more simple and mindful. I'm sure that PLENTY will change in my needs and routines once I have kids, but for now a bit more flexibility works best for me personally. I tried sticking to schedules (even themes) in the past, but it just didn't fit my personality. I'm learning to trust myself more to take care of things as I notice they need taken care of, which feels much more freeing and joyous for me at this time in my life.

This is such a good idea! I put things off because I get overwhelmed and then end up having loads to do which feels even worse - will definitely give this a go! Thank you for the inspiration ♥️

This was exactly me! And I've definitely learnt over time that when things feel overwhelming with housework it really effects my mood for sure, so it's definitely a form of self care! X

Oh it’s nice to hear another day to day task idea for homemaking. I follow team TOMM (organised mum). And although it mostly works well for us, it’s always good to have other ideas to change to if it gets too overwhelming
