Lovely video - so you don’t have screen time at all for the kids? What a beautiful blossom tree. Do you for any self care or alone time into your rhythm? I have 4 and I need that time x

Do you save the ornaments somewhere from each year as your child grows or will they only have photos… or do you keep incorporating them somehow in the display year after year even if it was more of a phase- like 1 ornament from each year?

One of my favourite handmade Waldorf toys is "Schneckenband". Idk if the English name is actually snail band but it's just a very long strip that you crochet. It's super easy to make and great as a first project if you just learn to crochet. Also kids can play with it in so many different ways!

Thank you so helpful. yes I notice our rhythms change depending on weather also on my son’s tiredness. Some days he wants to nap earlier than other days and sprinkled here and there he doesn’t nap at all. He’s 3.5 also some days he wants to be low key and really doesn’t want to go anywhere

New sub here. This was great. I’ve always been thinking about incorporating some Waldorf into our homeschool. I also have a channel and right now it’s mainly about homeschooling. It would be fun to be friends and connect here 😊

Lovely tips. Being outside is so helpful for children too. I find I have to do very little when the little one is in nature. She is happy.

lovely thank you. Your 3.5yr old sounds like a dream. My daughter is 4.5 and it’s still a challenge to get her to play independently. Perhaps more rhythm will help.

Every year I get my little boy a birthday book. It can be any book. It doesn’t need to be birthday in theme. I usually get something hardcover and make sure it has white or light colored end papers. I then draw a picture and write facts about my son at this age (height, weight, interests, favorite books, silly things he says or the special way he pronounces things at 3). Then on the end papers in the back I write him a special note and have all of his family (grandparents, aunts, uncles) write him a special birthday message. I love the idea of using silks for presents. I’ve gotten into the tradition of using brown paper (like for packing) that I draw lots of pictures on for him. Pictures of his favorite toys. Pictures of favorite story characters. Anything that’s special to him. Another thing we do is my husband puts together all of the picture and videos of him from the year into a “movie”. We okay it in the background on his birthday party (family coming over for presents and a homemade meal and a special homemade cake). I really want to add in making our own candles this year!

The theme for the day is exactly how my mum describes her childhood. Back then, in the 1950s, it was for practical reasons as they didn’t have all the appliances we do, so it took all day to do the washing and made more sense to do it all together. I think we need to consider returning to this approach as a way to live more simply and calmly. Really like your cleaning routine. I’m going to give it a go. Thank you.

I am a 31 year old father. Along with office work I do a lot of house chores. Now with a toddler around I feel so overwhelmed with all the chores. I only find videos where MUMS go through these feeling but I wish vloggers realise many men feel like these too.

It’s because it’s more common for moms to be the ones spending all day with kids and doing all the chores. Do you have a partner or are you a single dad?

This is great! I am just getting started on my Waldorf journey. I would love our home to be more like yours, but it does seem overwhelming, and if you had to do it all at once -- expensive. I don't know if you ever create printables or other resources, but if you had some sort of broken down to-do list, I know I would find that super helpful! It might have one aspect to consider per month, like in month one you evaluate and change out some of your lighting, for example. Just a thought! Thanks again for your great content!!

One tip I would say is try to find second hand items! They last forever so you’ll be likely to find things on marketplace or thrift shops! Also, it takes lot and lots of time, years and years to build a collection! You don’t need them all at once! I’ve been slowly working this lifestyle for about 2 1/2 years!❤️
@emmah6800

Another thing I would say helps is to look outside the box! You don’t have to have it labeled as a toy to be something to play with! ❤️
