Slow Stitching -Embellishing Tiny Nature Fabric Scroll

Welcome! My name is Jo. Join me in Slow Stitching a Fabric Scroll inspired by Birds, Animals and Nature. This is the second of a multi-part workshop where we add and embellish Blanket Stitch, stitch the final section with a Robin bird, and work intuitively to unify and create continuity by adding fabric and colour. The Scroll is 2 1/2 inches wide and 28 inches long, and the animal shapes are made with my mini templates in part one. There are lots of tips and ideas for creating your own scroll. This project is perfect for recycling or repurposing clothing or bed sheets too. So join me and embellish your scroll even more! Stay tuned for the final video where we add a backing and discuss ideas for displaying the scroll.

Yes this was 2 1/2” wide and about 26” long. If that seems too skinny feel free to try 3” wide or more and whatever length you prefer. 😊🧵🪡
