Lyrics
Shine through the light
So my thoughts won't
Have to fight
For your love
Just to see you in me
Hurts too much
Mind fills with the thought
Love you till I caught
Fish in the sky
Impossible to fly
See you walk away
Why can't you stay and
Shine through the light
So my thoughts won't
Have to fight
For your love
Just to see you in me
Hurts too much
High from above
I see the words of love
Decay to the ground
Betray what I've found

In my country, no one understands me, since years I wanted to sing shoegaze in Arabic , but I didn't achieve that , it's a disappointment. I hope that Arab youth, especially Moroccan, will do it one day, because the Moroccan nature and the classic ancient architectural beauty harmonize with Shoegaze .💗

This is one of the best songs ever made. The music video also perfectly matches the song. Every time I watch it I feel overwhelmed by a youthful, nostalgic bliss that touches deep within my soul and makes me want to cry out of happiness. It makes me feel grateful to be alive and to have experienced life. It also makes me think of those who aren’t with us anymore. I will love you forever, Devon. If you're a fan of all music please listen to "Here Come The Warm Jets" by Brian Eno. It's proto-shoegaze from 1974. There are so many elements he used to construct that song that's in shoegaze, including the impossible to distinguish lyrics. That was really ahead of it's time.

This video is in my eyes is the perfect representation of how I feel about the world. It shows us what it is to live one day in a billion years in the process of life and death itself through images of shining, swirling, changing imagery of natural life blended with images of people, who are totally unaware that they are just as much a part of that changing, transient, impermanent natural world as the flowers and sun that swirl around with them, all blended with the dreamy mixture of distorted roars and calm echoes and throbs to symbolize the emotional undercurrents of life. This video captures all that intensity and beauty for me

@@accesscrimea I'm sorry to hear. Youth is supposed to be the best time of your life. I'm 32 now and my life now is extremely bland, uneventful and more stressful than my youth for sure. Was an amazing time for me.

@@Frobbl That is all true of course, I suppose much comes down to your friendship group, I was moved around schools and it was really hard. The natural tendency with age is towards blandification but there is magic around if you look out for it. God that sounds cliched, but you can buck the trend. Just took the high speed train from Malaga to Madrid and whilst everyone was on their phones I was completely engrossed in the view the whole way and marvelling at the engineering miracle that enabled me to speed across the country at 300 k/h. I first got in to Slowdive's in the mid-90s as shoegaze was on it's way out.. Due to personal stuff going on during the past couple years I somehow missed there reunion. I even saw Neil play an amazing acoustic solo show about 15 years ago here in the US in-between the Mojave 3 stuff. I cannot believe I have never seen this video until now after all these years. It has absolutely blown me away to see the all of the band in what must have been such a great time for them all. Rachel is absolutely gorgeous and what an incredible time for all of them to be so young and swirling around together in a field full of flowers. I'm in love again.. Shine on Slowdive!

I, too, am convinced that this is what heaven sounds like. The guitar layers, and melodies and harmonies of the vocals, the chording, etc. All too perfect. I listened to this song on lucy once while taking a walk around a neighborhood near a friend's house on a crisp winter day. It was bliss. Sober or not, this is one of the songs that makes me glad I'm alive in a time to have been able to hear it. :)

There's a really cool tone the bass and drums create right when the word "see" is sung in the first line, "Just to See, You in Me". The tone rolls in such a way that it pulls me in. I can't describe it any other way. I don't know why I obsess over that one particular second of the song but it hits me every time.
