Minecraft has to be the most powerful games ever made. No cutscenes, missions, or quests. It’s just you, a friend or two, and your dog. Building a house, mining, creating things with materials. It honestly made me feel like a real caveman. Going through each era one by one. Primitive to advanced. Vanilla Minecraft is therapeutic in a sense. It’s almost scary how haunting this feeling is. I hate it because it’s gone, but I’m glad that it happened. I loved every second of this game.

That emptiness when a song ends while building, exploring, etc. Is just unmatched. You don't even realize it was playing until it was gone. That eerieness of every mundane and normal thing that you go through in life, one's you don't even realize you are doing, will eventually come to an end. And all you can do is look back on the stuff you never gave a second thought to. It's both comforting yet sad that the realization of your childhood is coming to an end with each passing day.

the question i have is if we were actually happy then. i feel like looking back our issues were so much smaller then but they felt big at the time, and that in itself creates the illusion life was better. for me atleast i had the best times of my life back then, but also the worst, or technically equal, as i felt things were the end of the world back then and today. i feel like i’m in a constant decline but is that not just all because of how we frame the past. i once spent hours trying to go through every single memory i have had in my life and i realised that without looking forward i had moments of sadness the same way i do now. so maybe the way to truly be happy ‘again’ is completely flawed. i don’t know. maybe it’s just me or when we were kids we were only allowed a small amount of time online, and i think that made it so much more enjoyable. now i spend 10 hours a day on my pc waiting for something to happen. games are all for profit with no heart like older titles. what’s going on man am i broken or something? sorry for the long message hope this helps in anyway

I think something that makes us happy is motivation, when I was younger I was eager to play video games because I loved them. I was motivated to play. Now with the latest call of duty dropping in 4 hours after waiting 3 years for the sequel in its series I’m not even exited, I’m actually worried because if it’s not good I’m not gonna have anything to play. This is the stage I’ve hit. I’d love to take a break from everything to come back refreshed. But I know the second I turn my pc after leaving for a month or so I’m not going have anything new to do. Maybe this is depression and it comes and goes. However in my experience depression is just a lack of distraction from life. Horrible thought haha but it’s been true for me. Gaming is a distraction from the world we live in and when that’s stale life becomes stale for people like me who are consumed by it. So what’s the solution? I think I’ve correctly evaluated the issue that gaming will never be as good as it used to be, and by the time gta 6 is out and other games I’ve been waiting for - for years, I’m not gonna be interested, I’ll just sit and play them. A final note id like to make is that I’ve seemingly spent way too much money on my setup as the excitement from progressing that made me think that I’d enjoy games more. I own an Rtx 3090, I have a racing sim rig (I’m a huge car guy) and yet I don’t feel fulfilled. (I’m literally wanting a 4090 and a new monitor, like bro 💀) It was only when I realised my mates were rocking things like gtx 1050ti’s and rtx 2060 PC’s that I realised I was in a class of its own for gear, and yet I’m always thinking to the next thing. I’m miserable. More than I was before I spent loads on gear. Isn’t that backwards? An insane PC and I have more fun messing around in Roblox with friends than playing the new AAA title. Something is wrong. I’m sure anyone would dream for the pc I have just like I did. And now I have it I feel underwhelmed and I want my money back. Trust me I use it to its limits, and it’s sure amazing for 5 minutes until you’re as bored as you are with your previous tech. Ooh a new steering wheel for the sim and I’m like ‘cool next’, now I’m not a spoiled brat, I’m actually really frugal and spend my life on computers so it’s worth it, until you have more fun playing Xbox 360 games than running assetto Cora’s at 8k. I’ve been bored for the last 4 years with gaming, ever since fortnite took a downturn. I was distracted by upgrading my setup with the illusion that if I had a 3090 I’d have something to do. If you have anything to add I’d love to hear it :)

This playlist, has been my go to for comfort... when I had been stressing out the entire day. I thought I was strong until I started a college class. I've never had this much stress. I've never experienced a mental breakdown. It was all surprising and scary at the same time for me. I had never felt so alone. But every time I cryed this playlist was always there're for me. The melody has such a happy yet calming tune. In a way made me feel like I was the main character. It always made me feel calm and reassurance. Now I finally understand when people have said "college is not for everyone"... but that's okay

my mom always don't permit me to play this game since she think is violent ( actually a game you can build anything you want and do anything you can lol) why my mom say is because normally other players will build their house but how I play is I am actually killing every animals and only using creative mode to get the TNT because my stupid mind just tell me I want to explode and destroy the whole map, idk why I want this but I'm just the one who never build normal things, I destroy things, once a time my brother use almost 2 hours to finish a big castle and I enter to his game to put full of bombs around his castle since I was mad of him ate my cake- he cries later :) like a kid of 3 years old.

Gonna miss playing minecraft, I remember hearing this music and thinking it was annoying, getting so excited when I found diamonds for the first time, playing split screen with my friends and seeing the tutorial for the first time. I remember the mythology dlcs coming out, how the ocean was nothing but water and squids, and when the nether was just all netherrack 🥲🥲 minecraft was definitely the best game I’ve ever played. Everything was easier back then, and I’d always look forward to getting home from school and playing minecraft 😭 It’s sad, I know I’ll never be able to experience these memories again and I’ll never have that same feeling while playing minecraft now
