SM64 - Riding a Shell while Metal Glitch

I wondered what would happen if you were to ride an underwater shell AND wear a metal cap at the same time. Not only do I show this glitch in the video, but I show the process I use to go about testing it.

For context, this is "The Art Of Cloning" era-cloning was still an unreliable glitch and many modern tricks didn't exist.

If you throw the shell right as you exit the water, it'll stay in your hands indefinitely. Then you can bring it into the pipe to transform it into other objects.
