I agree. My problem with it was that the lawyer death scene was morbidly humorous largely because of how fast it happened. The nanny death scene was way too long and felt more like torture porn that wouldn't have been out of place in a Saw movie than dark humor.

9:23 They fix a vehicle that has been sitting in a garage that's been at the mercy of the elements for 20 years... Tires would have rotted, batteries would have leaked, fuel would have long been unusable, the engine would have been gunked to hell. You can certainly tell when a film has been written by people who have no sort of understanding of cars or engine mechanics. There's the suspension of disbelief, and then there's "we couldn't be fucked to even try to make this even the slightest bit believable." Either the writers are getting way too sloppy, or the studio mandates this sort of stupidity because "nostalgia." I'm blaming the writers more because even recent smaller films are filled with plotholes big enough to drive the Titanic through.

Professor I teach ESL and Taiwan and sometimes I just want to say what comes out of your mouth when I feel upset after coming home but I don't really feel comfortable saying it. I just want to say thank you for at least allowing me to hear what I want to say so I can laugh.. This is the first review I have ever watched of yours, and it was amazing. Made me laugh out loud quite a few times. Jurassic Park made me want to work in film, and after years of study and hard work I got to work on Jurassic World in the VFX department. Probably because Bryce's character was directly responsible for pretty much ALL the deaths in Jurassic World. There's a part right after the Indominatus escapes, and one of her underlings notes, "good thing we have that "kill device" implanted in it, just like with all the dinos. The kill device that was installed as a standard safety precaution, and which regulations call for us to use in the event that this happens. I'll just push the button and..." Claire: "Don't you DARE, you stupid man! That thing cost millions of dollars to make! We are NOT killing it! I don't CARE that our own regulations, legal responsibility, and basic logic say to do it, I am going to show that I am a strong woman in charge by telling you no!" Cue a LOOOT of deaths. Including her poor assistant, whose only "crime" was being annoyed that she was being required to babysit her abusive boss' nephews instead of doing her actual job.

I still say after watching this clip for the 551 time, the first 5-10 min of Fallen Kingdom were great, the jungle, the atmosphere, the rain, the music, the sounds, the writing was great. rest of the movie was pure mind rape.

Saw JWFK in theaters when it came out with some friends. As soon as the movie was over for the next 50 minutes till I was droped off at home we tore into how bad the move was and how everyone and everything was stupid and deserved to die.

Mosasaurs hunting surfers is frighteningly accurate, by the way. From their stomach contents and locations, it is believed they hunted shallow waters near the surface and killed pretty much anything they found, even very small targets...like humans are.
