@Tranzor Z It's one of the reasons(in canon)given why Skynet, in the original timeline only created TWO T-1000's! Because they were so advanced that the moment that came online they became self aware! So, Skynet created a prototype model and the one they sent back in T2. After realizing it'd created something capable of destroying it, Skynet got rid of the original and of course, Arnie and Co. destroyed the one that was sent back. But standard Terminators are only given an advanced neural net processor that can only go so far before it hits the brick wall before actual sentience. But all that became moot when in nearly EVERY other Terminator flick they send back a f'n T-1000 because the villains in these movies hit an evolutionary dead end because the 1000 is literally the ultimate villain! You can't really top it! Every Terminator they've sent back since has been inferior.

To be fair, with Terminator 3 retconned, Judgement Day is no longer inevitable, and so the specific set of circumstances that led to him being the leader of the resistance no longer happened, therefore John Connor is no longer an important character. I agree with the reason for killing him off, without Judgement Day, he has no great destiny ahead of him, and can never be the great man he has been groomed to become. He's damned to a life of ignominy and mediocrity, so it's better that he go out with a bang than to linger in the background of future movies as an inconsequential nobody.

So he still had his importance but Skynet didn't realise how important Connor was to its survival. Without a Connor it no longer needed to send terminators into the past and without remains of the fallen terminators it sent into the past to be unknowingly reverse-engineer itself by humans into existence it no longer had it's origins to come from it. Thus Legion is created instead. I haven't watched Dark Fate so this is only an assumption and from the looks of it; Judgement Day is inevitable, the only change are the people/AI in charge. Without Connor, there's no Skynet and with Ramos there is Legion.

Plus, it was stated in the movie that Skynet dropped Terminators in several different times as a contingency. They could've still used that as a premise to keep him around with him and Sara going around doing EXACTLY what she was doing: Hunting displaced Terminators. Not only that, but it was shown in T2 that even at a young age he was really good with mechanics and computer tech so I'm sure he could've done SOMETHING with his life.

Hell yeah, my favorite professor is back! 18:23 Far better explanation they should have given, speaking as someone who isn't hyper-aware of Terminator lore so forgive me if it actually is inconsistent with the lore (though, not like the movie writers cared about it): Terminators use a sort of wireless communication to allow them to share information to coordinate a proper attack that uses them to their full potential. The Terminator in Judgement Day was reprogrammed, so the reason why he might not have it is that the resistance disabled it so it couldn't accidentally give away any important information. The one in Dark Fate isn't reprogrammed, but rather he just naturally gained a conscience, so his would still be functioning. BOOM, JOB DONE!

I'm reviewing the one on the Terminator franchise I'm finishing up my time in Taiwan and it's kind of a new thing as I'm relocating back to the states. But I especially right because I haven't really seen your stuff How's your health? I did drop a few prayers for you when I was back home the visiting.. I went on vacation and I got back from California maybe about a week ago. It was really a great trip. I got in touch with a friend of mine who hadn't seen in 20 years She's a great mom. I got to visit another friend in Indiana. God really provided financially. It just kind of blew my mind cuz I traveled with literally maybe $80. Money is never a thing I worry about. Took a long time walking with the Lord to trust him in that way. Anyways, I hope that you're doing well. I hope your health is good.. I hope your channel is still there

Salvation wasn’t too bad, the thing that got my nickers in a twist was that the upside down terminator shooting the Gatling gun should have spun around from the recoil. I’ll only defend Genisys by pointing out that the SYS is a reference to computer code.
