It was my Master, Silvio Simac, who got me training with CoC grips after I watched a video of him closing the number 2.5. I also heard that 9/10 Black Belts couldn't close the number 1 so I was determined to do that. I'm now on the number 2!

Fr I ordered the 1, 1.5 and the 2. I go to the gym regularly but even the 1 was difficult out of package lol. Was able to close it but doing it multiple times wasn’t easy. 3 months later and I can almost close the 2 now. Literally a millimeter away.

Here’s a little context on the numbers and where you might be if you’re a small but strong boi like me. I was at D1 wrestler, currently 29 years old 150-155lbs. I was definitely a technician with my style and not the strongest guy in the world, but definitely stronger than a good 98% of men my size. I’m not trying to toot my own horn, but maybe this will help someone. I had great strength and I knew how to use it. I ended up getting the trainer (because it says strong guys start here), the .5 and the 1. I wanted to track my progress against the baseline so I’ve only been training my left hand. The trainer was just right to get hard reps in in the beginning. I honestly wish I would’ve gone with the sport too in order to get more reps in the beginning and ” grease the groove” It seems like the magic number is 10 reps before you can close the next gripper once. If you want to be a strong guy, start with the sport. I’m like the weakest little boy, strong guy there is, and the trainer was right at my pinnacle. After a month, I closed the 1 with my left hand. Even though I have made measurable progress, I still wish I had the sport.
