Gave away our microwave. Feel it’s healthier. Refuse to buy an air fryer for same reasons. Hand wash our dishes. Hang most clothes up to air dry. My spouse and I walk daily outside. Going back to old fashioned ways of grandparents. I enjoyed your video today. ❤

I second that, sweet Connie! I'm a mom to 6 and I've been doing without microwaves and dryers and many other kitchen appliances that weren't good for our health... You need to invest more labor into your chores but I grew up this way and I guess I enjoy this "old fashioned" skills😄😵‍💫

I love cycling, not competitively, just around a small town -- farmers market, cafe shops, health food stores, parks, and most of all eating healthful foods. Reading, writing music, yardwork, and listening to audiobooks are amoung the things I really look forward to doing.

Hi Connie. I love your lifestyle. You’ve definitely worked out your priorities in life. Happy marriage, happy kids (and grandkids), relaxed and calm, peace of mind, enjoyment of nature, healthy eating, moving .your body. In other words, enjoying your life, your way. It’s something many of us can only dream of. I’m making small changes in my life by decluttering (a work in progress) both material possessions as well as mental clutter and doing a lot of self reflection about the past and how I’m choosing to go forward from here on. @@katy5900 there’s lots of stuff on KZbin showing how to prepare family meals in advance. I personally when the children were small, would cook a spaghetti bolognese sauce and make sure I made double the amount, I’d then freeze half either to use as a base for a chili or a shepherd’s pie.

Daily breathwork and exercise are good for the mind, body, and soul. Breath work can calm down our monkey mind, lower BP, and allow ourselves to become more mindfully present. Exercise, especially the yoga that you do, is especially important to maintain balance and prevent falls as we age. Also allowing our inner child to come out and play allows us to be young at heart, to become more creative and to engage with our loved ones and the world around us.

Lovely video! I'm getting outside first thing in the morning to soak up some sunshine. I found out I have to give up dairy and wheat for good. I'm 65 and still a massage therapist. I like to hike and kayak. Would you consider filming a yoga session we can follow a long with? 😊

I was thinking of how I put things off and how I am "reaping" the consequences of my non actions. Then poof! One of the important topics you discuss on this video. I am grateful for you Connie. Thank you. Be blessed with your family. 🙏 I am now going to do the dishes, take a walk, and come back to finally tackle getting my paperwork done for my income taxes. What is the "American dream"? Of course, every continent has its own version of the "local dream" of the European type, Middle Eastern type, Asian type and others. If a person is a pagan or an ungodly person (in fact, almost all people on earth today are either ungodly or pagans), then this is more than natural for such people in their desire for a prosperous life in its richest possible form. They confirm that "the more money, the better, and even they are ready to die for such a dream." "Man does not live by bread alone." Such people believe that they have only one life and will not have another, so they need to live this life as comfortably as possible and experience as much pleasure as possible. But sooner or later everything ends. The higher they rise, the lower they fall. Somewhere slowly, and somewhere quickly, the current human civilization is living out its last days. The American Dream is an example, if definitely not the best, then at least the biggest, concerning a person's dream of a comfortable and well-fed life. But even this American dream is fading into oblivion. Desperate attempts are constantly being made to prolong its existence. The United States belongs to the so-called developed countries and, accordingly, they are already developed, that is, they have reached their peak, there is no further way, therefore, accordingly, there is no sense and motivation to go further, only the way back to the bottom. The same can be said about Europe and some developed Asian countries, where "they also almost sang their merry song." And as for developing countries, such countries have a lot to develop, because such countries have not reached their peak and they are still developing. And the so-called developing countries won't be able to enjoy it for a long time either. Although the definition of the concepts of "developed" and "developing" is not entirely accurate in principle. But nevertheless. You are inside the system, and the system is inside you. "Two boots in a pair." And the world you live in is filled with lies. Let your heart burn in the fire of truth for a while, and not your soul and body feel the coolness in the water of lies for a while. Seek the truth while there is time.

Interesting points. US like many country’s birth or history was conveniently forgotten or glossed over for yrs. Truth of colonialism incl brutality, expropriation, suppression and segregation of many millions of people who lived on land worldwide. N. American indigenous lived on it peacefully for over 20K yrs. Most felt they belonged to the land or rest of nature not vice versa. Vikings reportedly came befire Europeans in peace. Shared traditions and food and left. In peace. James Truslow Adams (no relation to POTUS) was founding father of the American Dream. He coined it in his 1931 bestselling book The Epic of America. He wanted to name the book ‘The American Dream’ but publisher said not a good idea during the Great Depression. Adam’s def’n: “a dream of a social order in which each man and each woman shall be able to attain to the fullest stature of which they are innately capable, and be recognized by others for what they are, regardless of the fortuitous circumstances of birth or position.” All of this can be looked up in case I made a mistake somewhere.
