Your skies are always so full of light and atmosphere and I can feel the moisture in the air. I'm always amazed! I know you've planned and have a clear mental picture of what you're working toward, but when you're painting, it seems like you aren't ever trying too hard, and it all unfolds perfectly!

Such a joy to watch a master at work! You've inspired me to paint again and to go back to a more traditional palette. I keep experimenting with new pigments, but there's nothing like a Cadmium or Cobalt out there. I especially appreciate that you name the pigments you are using for each mixture. Cobalt Violet is a surprise, you use it so effectively. Thank you!

Great tips. I like your style of painting one spot till it's finished with minimal over painting. I often feel like I need to put large washes down which can be hard to pull off & overwhelming. Thank you

All 3 videos are just wonderful. I'm learning to use fresh paint but it's hard to break the habit of using paint from my dry palettes. I've rarely heard professional artists like you give out that advice. Hopefully my scrubbing days are over!!!! What size of paper did you use?

I found you on You Tube and am having my son record/save every one of your videos, as I am totally smitten with your style and adore all of your subjects! I especially like your wife's chickens! :) I'm sure that I'll never be able to attain the quality of your work, but gosh! I'm sure having fun trying! Watercolor is frustrating and wonderful all at the same time! Many thanks for putting up the videos on You Tube for free, as I'm on a very fixed income. So this is wonderful entertainment. I've watched them over and over and discover something new each time! I have embedded in my brain to try and remember your words as I'm painting..."Paint each area once!
